Were you just born for a beautiful Summer day?  If you dream of the sun in your face and your toes in the sand then you’ll love the new Simple Stories Hello Summer Collection!  These cards are a sunny hello but would also be amazing invites to a backyard bbq or pool party!

The collection features bright colors and pretty tropical prints!  Of course there’s loads of embellishments too!  The Bits and Pieces die cuts and 6x12 Chipboard Sticker sheet  are perfectly coordinated and ready to work with. There’s even coordinating Washi tape!

The Collection kit includes sheets of journaling cards in different sizes perfect for documenting or using as a focal points on cards like mine.  A sticker sheet is also included in the collection kit - it's got lots of images and sentiment strips!

I adhered the die cut Bits and Pieces with adhesive foam tape to add some dimension.    I love the florals and fruit - it's so fresh and fun!   The thick chipboard stickers don’t need any special attention – they’re total eye candy!

It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day! Go ahead and spread some sunshine!

Memorial Day is just around the corner and for me that signals the beginning of Summer.  The kids are almost out of school, people are opening their pools, and the smell of BBQ is in the air!

Today I’m sharing some patriotic cards made with the Simple Stories Hometown USA Collection Kit.   These will make great invites for the big celebration!  We usually have a house full over for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks after it gets dark.

The paper packs are a great value because they include everything you need to make several layouts and greeting cards.  On the reverse side of the paper prints you’ll find journaling cards that make a great focal point for a greeting card.

A sheet of stickers make easy embellishments.  I use baby powder to dull the sticky adhesive back and add adhesive foam tape to pop up the stickers to add dimension to projects.   The sticker sheet also includes several sentiments.

The best part of all is that the papers are meant to work together.  The colors match perfectly and there’s no guessing what paper matches another paper.

So go ahead!  Celebrate the Red White and Blue in style with the Simple Stories Hometown USA Collection Kit!

There are so many beautiful new collections available at Simple Stories that the hardest part is deciding which one to work with. With Mother's Day just around the corner I couldn't resist reaching for the Mama Llama Collection!

This collection is a mix of pastels - think blue, green, pink and yellow with accents in chocolate thrown in for drama! The images include llamas (of course) with flowers and hearts for Mom, streamers and banners to celebrate her, and some Southwestern accents to set the scene.

The 12" collection pack has everything you need to make lots of pretty cards! There are a few sheets of journaling cards to cut out and use as the focal point of your design as well as a sticker sheet for embellishments.

I cut some of the images with a circle die cut, but a punch would work just as well. I powder the back of the stickers to release the adhesive, and then attach them with foam tape to add dimension.

The sticker sheet has lots of cute sentiments like "I love my mama" and "save the drama for your mama". These cute llamas and whimsical sentiments are sure to make you smile.

What a fun way to thank Mom for all she does and let her know you appreciate all the good things about yourself that you got it from her!
