Dorymar Perez's Blog Posts

Hello Simple Stories fans, It’s Dorymar with you today to share a new Snap Album with the colorful Going Places Collection.  This collection is very versatile because you can document all types of vacations they can be by airplanes, by cruise, by train even road trips. It has tons of beautiful patterns and bright colors. Check it out!

On the cover I wanted to recreate a city vacation scene, for that, I used the beautiful paper with aqua stripes and matched it with the passport stamp paper included in the 6x8 Coordinating Paper Pad as my background.  For the city view, I used one of the 4x6 cards included in the collection, and then I added fun icons from the chipboard stickers and sticker sheet. For finishing touches, I added a little touch of glitter glue to highlight the moon and blonde hair of the girl. I think the cover looks so fun and cute.

I love decorating the chipboard dividers that the Sn@p Albums includes, but this time I wanted to focus on creating the layouts for my 6x8 pages. For all the layouts that you will see below, I used the papers included in the 6x8 Paper Pad because they have the perfect size for the 6x8 pocket page.

For this layout I want to keep the concept on the cover, the City Vacation.  I am in love with the people and cars included in the collection.

A few close up!

One thing I love about this collection is the bright colors, because they blend easily with any type of travel photo. This collection is ideal for someone looking to simply collect multiple trips and keep a journal. With the grouped elements, the different layers of beautiful papers and the perfect photos, your project is sure to be the perfect one for any trip.

I could not stop incorporating the pockets and flaps that I love so much; they allow me to use all the beautiful elements that the collection has. I used a few of the page’s dividers included in the album to make them interactive and this show the adorable figures of the project. Below you can see each one in detail.

The journal bits and pieces pack has a lot of tags and postcards, they are perfect for add journaling of just to create a beautiful decoration in your layouts. In my case, I used them in strategic places to highlight various areas of my project.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hi friends, it is Dorymar today with a beautiful project! If you love nature, camping, hiking, etc., this project is for you!  The New Simple Vintage Great Escape is a gorgeous collection inspired by Nature. I love to go hiking or simply walking in the woods and when I saw the collection, I fell in love with it!  Look at this beautiful project!

For this project I selected the new 6x8 Green Flipbook, the bright green color is the perfect combination for this collection. On the cover I selected the Wild and Free Paper as a background, I cut the paper in half and used one part as a background and the other part to make a beautiful layer.  The big butterfly with the foliage and bingo card is so beautiful and brought a perfect background to my project.

I love to create many layers and dimensions in my projects, on this cover after I covered the cover of my flipbook, I fussy cut the beautiful wood frame from one of the 4x4 elements paper, then  I used the fantastic icons included on the bits and pieces package and for the great finishing touches I added chipboard icons and decorative brads. All are adhered with dimensional tape to create a great look.

Here you can appreciate the beautiful layers and gorgeous designs!

For the first spread of my project, I wanted to create a page with many elements and details to emphasize the theme of the project. Like when you walk through the forest, there are so many colors, dimensions, and details. To achieve this,  I used the beautiful paper "Born to Roam" as a background and on it I added the beautiful banners included in the banners sticker sheet and some beautiful wooden frames included in the combo sticker sheet and accentuated everything by adding butterflies, mushrooms, insects and ferns included in the bits & pieces.

The whole interior of this project makes you transport yourself into nature, this collection is full of wonderful elements that when I started creating with it, I couldn't stop. Each of the spreads and pocket pages are full of pure details and beautiful stuff that makes me jump with excitement. Below you can see each of the pages of this project in detail and you will surely be delighted and ready to look for this FANTASTIC COLLECTION.

One of the icons that I liked the most in this collection are the messages carved in the wooden slices, they are perfect to add as titles or messages within your project.

I adore each of the cards included in the 3x4 element paper, they are full of messages, designs and they are perfect to highlight the project.

The decorative brads of the collection played an important role in this project, they stood out in the clusters I made around my photo mats. They are perfect!

Aren't these some of the most beautiful designs you have ever seen? I adored and used all the die cuts, decorative brads, and chipboards I could create all these beautiful clusters on my pages.

This is by far one of my favorite projects this year. I hope my project inspired you to create or use the new fantastic Simple Vintage Great Escape Collection.  Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hi Friends, is Dorymar today sharing a gorgeous flipbook with the brand-new Kate & Ash Collection. I have two teens girls and I am in love with this collection. Kate & Ash collection is perfect to document many moments of your teen girl.

I decided to use the 4x6 pink flipbook because is the perfect match for the collection. On the cover, I created a fun collage with the fantastic icons of the collection. They have great colors and fun images. As a title, I used “Hey Girl!” foam sticker from the collection, I think this is the perfect phrase to describe what you can see in the inside of the album.

I used as a background of my cover the b side of the “Super Like” paper. This paper has many colorful dots and I used the enamel dots of the collection to highlight the dots and add a little bit of texture.

I love to add interactive pages on my projects, so here you can see how fun they turned!

Unlike snap albums, flipbooks do not have their own dividers and an excellent way to personalize it is by creating your own page dividers, below you will see how much fun your project can be if you decide to add a different touch to it. To create my pages, I used white cardstock. In these first two pages, I created a page with several flaps and in the other, I created a fun shaker because they are very fashionable these days.

A fun way to use the 2x2 cards is to create fun flaps like these!

Creating your own pages gives you the option to add many more photos in many sizes and allows you to also use the beautiful icons of the collection. This is fantastic!

For this page dividers, I created a different way of pockets.  One of the pages is an envelope and on the other page I incorporated a flap and a side pocket with a tag.

Inside the pocket, you can find two cards to add photos or journaling!

The bellyband on the backside of the page holds to 3.5”x 3.5” cards for a cool interactive look.

Here you can see how pages match perfectly with the pocket pages included in the album.

The colors and print on this collection are FABULOUS and when I started to work, I wanted to use all the papers and beautiful icons and I found the perfect way to use them, creating my interactive pages.

I had so much fun during the making, this is a great project to document your teen!  I hope this project inspires you to create your own one.  This is a great way to jump into the new flipbooks, they come in many colors, sizes and you can add extra pages.  Please check all the new products on the Simple Stories page and follow me on my IG page @dorymar_pl.
