Dorymar Perez's Blog Posts

Hello, Simple Stories fans, It’s Dorymar Perez today and I’m super excited to share with you this Album. When I saw the Summer Farmhouse Collection, I was  thrilled with the colors, patterns, and graphics. This is one of my favorite collections this year.  One of the things I liked most about this collection is the Red, I love red, after all it is my favorite color.

I knew that a bright red binder was the perfect combination with the collection. So, I used the Summer Farmhouse 6x8 Paper pad to decorate the cover of my Snap Album.  I used a few different snap cards to create the layers and the title of my album and then, I fussy cut the big bunch of flowers included in one of the 6x8 papers to decorate the left side of my album.  I then added a dimensional adhesive on the back of my pieces to add dimension.

For the first page, I used one of the snap dividers and folded it at 4” to create an open side flap. To decorate it, I used the gorgeous washi tape of the collection and created the title with the new red foam alphas.

For my first layout I used one of my favorite papers of this collection, I love how the colorful flowers stand out on the light blue background. I highlighted the page by adding layers from papers of the collection and created a small cluster on the right side of my photo mat, then I added the title which is included in the bits and pieces. I love how the red stands out in the yellow gingham paper.

I love to add folding elements in my albums for extra space and interest.  For the page above, I used a piece from one of the original page dividers of the snap to create an open flap and combined it with the die cuts, letters, and chipboards. I added a red and white baker twine to give it a personal touch.

The die cuts of this collection have an important role because they are highlighted in any of the patterns. This is the perfect collection to document your summer photos. Have you ever seen a truck as cute as this one?

To create the big pocket, I reduced one on the 6x8 paper from the paper pad to 6.75” and made a diagonal cut. Then I fussy cut the I love summer heart from one of the 4x4 journaling cards to decorate it. Inside the pocket, I added one tag and one card which was decorated with the beautiful patterned papers of the collection.

I love the colors in this collection!!  That touch of navy blue between the yellow, red and sky blue gives it an amazing look!

Pockets and flaps = more space and a lot of pictures! YAY!

Inside I had a lot of fun with this collection. The striking colors and beautiful goodies of the collection really highlight each of the spaces in this project.

Definitely this is the perfect collection for this summer, in it you will be able to document your outdoor activities with your family and friends. I hope my project inspires you to use the beautiful Summer Farmhouse Collection.

Hello friends, it’s Dorymar today and I’m sharing a beautiful Snap Album with the new Simple Vintage Coastal Collection. I’m from the Caribbean and when I saw the collection I freaked out with the gorgeous patterns and beautiful tropical flowers.

On the cover, I used the “Let’s Get Lost” paper because has a beautiful vintage design and I didn’t need too much decoration to my cover. Then I selected one of the 4x4 cards and used it as the title of my project. Closer to the title I added some gorgeous pieces from the die cuts and stickers. To add a beautiful texture, I added a little bit of gesso and some mini art stones to give the ocean look.

The designs in this collection are very tropical and have many beautiful images perfect to combine to any pictures from your travel to the Caribbean or any coastal visit. On my first divider, I used one of the 6x8 paper included in the 6x8 paper pad as a background, then I just added a beautiful banner and some die cuts, and my page was ready. The elements are so beautiful, this brings you the opportunity to make your pages so fast.

I love to use many elements from the collection to decorate my pages, here you can see how on the sides of my photo mats I made some clusters to give a perfect touch to the project.

One of the new elements that Simple Stories brings for this summer are the Foam Alpha Stickers, they come in many colors and are perfect for adding your own titles on the pages. In this project, I used the green ones and you will be able to see how they make the page stand out.  They have the perfect size to use it in any project.

What I love most about snaps are the pocket pages, being able to combine the cards and pieces that I will use with the designs I prepared for my pages, is so fun! I love to adhere stickers and die cuts on the pocket page to highlight the designs and my photos.

I used the pages with lines included in the album and make a few 3x4 cards to add journaling, then I decorated with the beautiful sticker included in the 4x6 Sticker Book.  The sticker pad is perfect to add beautiful sentiments and decoration to the spreads.

On this page I fussy cut the side of one of the 6x8 paper because it has a lovely coastal scene, I added it with foam tape on the side of my photo mat and looks like they come together. This page is perfect to document a beautiful photo from the ocean.

The banners of the collection are perfect to add photos or just to add your journaling. In this case I used one of the 2x2 cards with a beautiful sentiment and added it to the frame.

I hope you’ve got some inspiration from this project and use the new Simple Vintage Coastal Collection to create a beautiful project to document your lovely memories on the coast.

Hello friends, it’s Dorymar today and I am super excited to show this fun Sn@p! Album I created using the lovely Magical Birthday Collection.  These pages were especially fun for me to create because I'm a mom of two girls.  Pink and girly themes are my favorites, and this collection has such a mixture of beautiful colors and gold in the lovely graphics and the designs.

This time I used my 6x8 Pink Sn@p binder in a different way, I decided to use it the horizontal way and I loved it. The binder design is made to be used vertically, but I think this way is a little different twist on a Sn@p! Album and the result is the same, a beautiful project to document my memories. On the cover, I created with the new Color Vibe Lights collection and made four rosettes to mix up the beautiful patterned papers and goodies from the Magical Birthday Collection. I selected different pieces from the ephemera and chipboards stickers and for my title, I selected one of the 4x4 cards included in the 4x4 Element paper. All the pieces were adhered with foam tape to create dimension.

Since my cover is horizontal, I wanted to create my pages and dividers in the same way.  To start, I painted my chipboard dividers with white paint to match perfectly with the papers in the collection. Then I used papers from the 6x8 paper pad to decorate them and add the layers. I just love the way they turned out.

This collection includes the fun new foam stickers, I am delighted with them. I used them to create the titles on my pages and others to highlight pocket pages. I always love to incorporate different textures and add things that will highlight the collection, in this case, I added a lace ribbon and created some beautiful bows with threads and decorated them with the beautiful brads from the collection.

As you know I adore adding pages of different sizes in my albums because this gives an added touch to the project. In this case, I reduced one of the pages included in the Snap binder to 6 inches, then with one of the flower papers included in the 6x8 paper pad,  I made a pocket to house different cards to add photos and journaling inside.

Below you can see some of the beautiful pages of that this lovely project includes.

The 2x2 insta-pocket page could not be missing in my project, I love it too much. I put several of the beautiful 2x2 cards included in the collection and made some shakers to give it a gorgeous look. Many, many beautiful goodies from the collection. I’m totally in love with them.

The cards included in the Elements papers always include messages in vertical as well as  horizontal designs. It's so easy to just slip a card into one of the pocket pages to finish off the design.

I hope you love this project as much as I do and it has inspired you to use the beautiful Magical Birthday Collection and also to try to use your Sn@p! Binders in another way. In my opinion, the result was wonderful, and I think it will be the first of many that I use horizontally.

Stay safe and happy!
