Dorymar Perez's Blog Posts

Hi everyone!  It’s Dorymar and I'm excited to share with you this Spring project.  I love the colors in this collection, the cutest bunnies, the flowers, birds, butterflies, etc. The new HIP HOP HOORAY collection is the perfect collection to document the beautiful Spring season.

For this project, I decided to use the 6x8 Pink Stripe Binder because the color is just the perfect match with the collection. On the cover, I used the Hello Spring chipboard letters and combined them with the bunch of flowers included in the bits and pieces pack, closer to them I added a few stickers from the collection. The binder design is so beautiful, I just had to add a few elements. It looks super cute.

Because the Striped Binder doesn’t have dividers, I prepared my own dividers with pockets and space to use the beautiful pieces that the collection has. This gives me the opportunity to play with the spaces of the album and create a fun interactive look.

This is one of the dividers that I like the most, it has a lot of space for photos and it also includes a pocket for a 4x6 card, it is fantastic and you have a lot of fun as you open the flaps.  I embellished simply with stickers, die cuts, enamel dots and journal die cuts to tell my story.

Below I show you the close ups.

I love adding the journal bits and pieces, because when I add my photos, I have little spaces to add my journaling. They are perfect and super cute.

One of the things I love the most about using Striped Binders is that I can add the pocket pages that I want among the variety that is included in the Insta Pocket Pages Pack.  The package contain 2 of each configuration and each one is divided into different combinations in both vertical and horizontal orientations. They are perfect to add the lovely 6x4 and 3x4 cards included in the collection. I also had space to decorate it with the beautiful elements of the Hip Hop Hooray Collection.   See the pictures below.

I loved the bunnies so much that I wanted to incorporate all of them, they are the cutest bunnies I have ever seen.

This divider is such fun because it has two big pockets and when you open it, you have space for more pictures. I fussy cut the bunny from one of the pages included in the 6x8 paper pad and used it as a decoration at the top of my card. Also, I added some brads from the collection, that gave a perfect touch to my project.

For my first page I created an open up flap using some different patterned papers from the 6x8 paper pad as a base. I decorated it with all the amazing elements of the collection.

I think this project is perfect to show off this gorgeous collection, I made all the adorable dividers and included many sizes of pocket pages to add all my Spring memories and I hope this inspires you to use this wonderful spring collection.

Thank for stopping by today!

Hello Spring!

Supplies

It's Dorymar here today and I'm sharing a Snap Album with you using Simple Vintage Garden District collection. I wanted to create something different for this album. I love using collections like this because they make my creativity fly. I am fascinated by working with bright and colorful collections, but this collection is different, it is full of pastel colors, butterflies, flowers and many vintage patterns. This is another style that I love working with, vintage, shabby chic style where I can incorporate different textures into my album.

For the cover, I incorporated many textures with the beautiful patterned paper from the collection. I mixed up lace, burlap, stencil paste, orange blossoms, and doilies. I added layers using some chipboard stickers and bits & pieces from the collection.

For the different spreads, I used only the snap dividers and make a beautiful vintage look with many layers, lace, and textures. I ripped the edges of some pieces of paper and added some different patterns behind the photo mats. I feel like the papers from this collection go together very well with all the things I added to create this project.

Below you can see in detail some close ups from the album. This collection has so many beautiful elements, that when you create a cluster around the photo mats to decorate, they create an exquisite and wonderful look.

I used an edge punch in combination with the solid papers in the collection to create another lace style. Layering different elements on my page created a wonderful dimension and gives it a beautiful texture when using different pieces.

I prepared these pieces you see below to insert them in my 6x8 pocket pages, what I do with them is reduce the pocket pages to their size and this gives a different touch to my project.

Here is another close-up, you can see the ripped edges. I added some pop dots underneath to create more shadows and dimension.

I love personalizing my pocket pages, below you can see how I incorporated the beautiful pieces of the collection with the journaling cards to create beautiful designs around my photo mats.

The Simple Vintage Garden District collection encapsulates everything we love about Spring with its color palette and beautiful, vintage look. It was so much fun creating this album!

Hi Friends, It’s Dorymar today sharing an AMAZING Sn@p Album.  For this project I used the new Best Year Ever Collection. When I saw the collection I fell in love instantly!  With this collection you can document all your adventures month by month, with beautiful colors, beautiful designs and fantastic feelings for each month. It’s just FANTASTIC.

For the cover I wanted to incorporate all the seasons of the year. To achieve this, I combined some patterns with the die cuts, stickers and chipboards of the collection. In the background I used the B side of the January paper and sewed the entire edge.

In the center of the cover, I used a digital cut file from the Cut Shoppe called Let Them Eat Pie. I filled each of the trapezes with different papers from the 6x8 paper pad and used the washi tape from the collection. In some of the trapezes I created shakers to give texture and fun to the project. For the inside of the album, I decided to assign a page and a pocket page to each of the months. I combined the chipboard pages with the design pages included in the album together with the patterned pages of the collection. As the collection has a paper for each month, I decided to fussy cut the 6x4 cards with the letters of the month and use it as the title of each page, cutting and searching between the pieces to create the pages was very fun.

The collection includes beautiful foam stickers that were the perfect touch for the project. I added them in different places on the album and they look fantastic!

In some of the pages, you can see that I added photo flip pockets because this allows me to have more space for photos and journaling as well as giving an interactive touch to the project.

I hope you enjoy this project as much as I do, I can't wait to see my project full of photos and remember each of my adventures during this fantastic year. I hope you run to find the Best Year Ever Collection and use my project as inspiration.

107Happy Scrapping!
