Jeanne here today and I’m sharing cards made with the Simple Stories Forever Fall Collection.  Fall is my favorite time of year and this beautiful fresh collection is a new favorite.  The colors are everything you’d expect for fall…warm colors like oranges, reds, and browns with a fun twist of navy and pink.

The background papers are florals, plaids, newsprint and dots that mix and match effortlessly.   I made all my cards with the 12” collection kit.  The first thing I do when I get the pack is to cut apart the journaling cards and then cut the 12” sheets into 6” squares.  This makes the papers more manageable for card making.

This card features a 3x4” journaling card with a fun fall sentiment.   I embellished it with chipboard stickers and a sentiment and pink tab sticker from the combo pack.

The bits and pieces die cuts available in this collection are the icing on the cake.  You’ll find printed and die cut hearts, flowers, pumpkins, leaves, sentiments and so much more.   Because they’re ready to go they’re so easy to work with!

I like to spread out the die cut images on my table (bits and pieces and chipboard) so I can get a good look at them all.  I arrange them on sheets of clear plastic the size of my card base so I can experiment with different layouts before I commit and adhere them in place.

Arranging the elements on a clear sheet of plastic helps me decide on what background papers to use too.  I can pick up the plastic sheet and lay it over different pattern paper backgrounds and decide which one is most pleasing to my eyes

I had lots of fun making with this collection and I know you will too!

Do you love Halloween?  If yes then you’re going to LOVE the spooky sweet goodness of the Simple Vintage Halloween Collection.  It captures images from days gone by that  that are still endearing today.

I love the mix of classic images like the little witch and kitties next to elements of the  modern plaid and hearts.

I had so much fun making cards that I got a little carried away making 6!   I like to keep sheets of clear plastic the same size as my card base handy.  I arrange different elements from the Bits and Pieces and Chipboard Stickers on them.  It’s easy to pick up the clear sheet and layer it over the pattern paper to help me decide which ones to use.

After I get a card assembled I add embellishments like washi, stars, dots and sequins.

There’s lots of great stickers on the sheet that comes with the collection kit, like this file tab that says “October”! The journaling cards you’ll find on the reverse of some of the pattern paper sheets make great focal points for your cards too.  The one on my card had a label printed on it ready for the Trick or Treat sentiment from the Chipboard sticker sheet.

I used a circular die cut spider web from the Bits and Pieces pack as a full moon over the chipboard haunted house.

I just know you're going to love making everything from cards and layouts to bags for treats with this collection. It's spooky good!

Oh happy day!  If you have a dreamer in your life (or maybe you are one too?) you are going to love the new Dream Big Collection from Simple Stories.  It’s filled with rainbows unicorns, fairies, mermaids and so much more!

Simple Stories has pulled out all the stops so there’s lots and lots to play with.  Printed and die cut Bits and Pieces, thick Chipboard Stickers, and pattern papers that will make you sigh with contentment!

The papers are easy to mix and match because they’re perfectly coordinated.  You can find inspirational sentiments on the sticker sheet that’s included in the Collection Kit paper pack. I adore the colorful round sparkles that make great accents for all the images… fairy dust  for the pixies or bubbles for the mermaid.

I think this collection is so much fun ! I know it’s going to delight the young ladies in my life, but I know a few grown ups that would be just as happy to receive one of these cards!  Who doesn’t love to shine?

With this collection anything is possible.. ride a unicorn, fly with faeries, and make some magic with a mermaid.
