Nathalie DeSousa's Blog Posts

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today, bringing you some inspiration just in time for Valentine's Day.   And what better way to document your especial one than to use the beautiful Simple Stories's "ROMANCE" collection.

All the floral motifs in the Romance collection are beautiful, so a bit of fussy cutting was all that was needed to create the clusters that frame the picture of my husband and I on our Thanksgiving walk.

Since the picture of us was taken at a bridge, I was inspired to continue the pattern of the formation onto the background of this page.   There are so many beautiful embellishments in this collection, that it was so easy to combine them to create the title for this page.

The collection is perfect to document all those special moments in your life, not just Valentine's Day.   Remember to check the collection, you will love a bit of "ROMANCE" in your life.

Remember to contact me if you have questions on how this came together. Take care.

Hello Simple Stories Friends and Fans!

We are in the middle of Winter here in Canada, so what better way to warm up those cold days, than a bit of inspiration using the super fun "SUB ZERO" collection.

The designs, and colors in the papers in the "SUB ZERO" collection are so bright and fun, so what better way to showcase them all, than to create a large title using a few cut files from the Cut Shoppe-.   And to bring more winter to the page, a bit of extra winter (as in Vicki Boutin's Iridescent glaze and a snowflake stencil) on the background.

To bring a bit more fun, and playfulness to the page.  Small clusters of ephemera and stickers were added around the title, and in clusters around the picture of my nephew while playing in the snow!.  Gotta love all those fun elements in the SUB ZERO collection!

I hope this inspires you to check the "SUBZERO" collection.   The fun and colorful designs will bring a bit of happiness to those cold Winter days.

That is all for me!

XOXO

Where has December gone!  It is hard to believe we just celebrated Christmas, and what better way to document those memories than to use the super fun and gorgeous "Oh What Fun" collection.

This picture of my littles was fun and playful (even when it is a bit blurry!), so I wanted to create a soft background for the page, and pulled a cut file from Just Nick Studio.   All those small holly berries and branches bring some texture to the page.

To bring playfulness to the page, I chose to create a colorful and large title, for this I pulled the Merry Wishes cut file from Just Nick Studio and used all the papers from the Oh What Fun collection to back the letters.  Then cut the script word from one of the papers from the collection.

All the fun elements from the "Oh What Fun" collection are so gorgeous ( i think I am left with small pieces from the collection!) that i had to use them to highlight the picture.   Gotta love that reindeer, just like my little nephew in his antler hat.

What is not to love of the "Oh What Fun" collection!!  the designs, the colors are just perfect to document  your most beloved memories.

Well now it is only fitting, I wish you all a Blessed New Year!
