Hello Friends! It’s Dorymar back on the blog today to share a beautiful 4x6 Sn@p Album I designed with the stunning Hello Lovely Simple Set. I fell in love with this collection as soon as I saw it: flowers, hearts, different shades of pink, all working beautifully together! Our family is still enjoying the summer outdoors and had the opportunity to visit a beautiful flower park with my girls. This collection was perfect to document our memories there so here is my colorful project! 

¡Saludos a todos! Dorymar por aquí en el blog para compartirles un hermoso Sn@p Album 4 x 6 con la maravillosa colección, Hello Lovely. Quedé enamorada cuando vi la colección: flores, corazones, diferentes tonos de color rosado, todo trabaja perfectamente en conjunto. Nuestra familia sigue disfrutando del verano y las actividades al aire libre, entre estas actividades, mis chicas y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar un hermoso parque de flores. ¡Esta colección era perfecta para documentar nuestros recuerdos allí! ¡Aquí les presento un proyecto muy colorido!

To design the cover, I used the Simple Stories "Hello Lovely" Silhouette cut file. I cut it into the Deco Foil Toner Sheets and then, with the laminator, I placed the Pink Melon transfer sheets and gave it that metallic, beautiful, and bright touch. 

Para diseñar la portada utilicé el archivo de Simple Stories para cortar de Silhouette “Hello Lovely”, lo corté en las Hojas de Tóner de Deco Foil y luego con la laminadora, coloqué la hoja de transferencia de color Melón Rosado y le dio ese toque metálico, brillante muy hermoso.

I love the pockets of Carpe Diem planners, so I decided to create some pockets like those using solid cardstock and I covered them with the beautiful "So Very Lovely” and “Fab-YOU-lous” papers. As an insert, I used 3 x 4 journaling cards from the collection. 

Me encantan los bolsillos de las agendas de Carpe Diem, por lo que decidí crear unos bolsillos similares a los que traen estas hermosas agendas. Para esto creé con cardstock sólido bolsillos los cuales forré con los hermosos papeles “So Very Lovely” y “Fab-YOU-lous”. Como insert utilicé las tarjetas para journal 3 x 4 de la colección.

I used the SN@P! Album pages and papers from the collection to create pockets, tags, flaps make the album interactive and fun. I love finding pockets and items inside my projects, I think it’s super fun! 

Utilicé las páginas del Sn@p Album y con los papeles de la colección hice bolsillos, tags, flaps para darle ese toque interactivo y divertido. A mí me encanta encontrar bolsillos y elementos en mis proyectos. ¡Me parece super divertido!

To highlight the divisions, I used the "die cuts stickers" and flowers from the "So Very Lovely" paper sheet. They are super adorable! 

Para resaltar las divisiones utilicé los “die cuts stickers” y flores del papel “So Very Lovely”. ¡Son super adorables!

I love paper clips so I created several using a circle cutter to make the bases and then decorated them with the collection’s die cuts stickers. 

Me encantan las presillas de papel, así que he creado varias, utilicé un cortador de círculo para hacer las bases y luego los decoré con los hermosos “die cuts stickers” de la colección.

I like to give an interactive tone & feel to my projects, so between the divisions I inserted pages of different sizes. In addition, I continued playing with the Simple Stories Silhouette cut files, together with the Thermoweb Deco Foil toner sheets and foil transfer sheets, to give color & shine to my titles. I love it! Working with them is super fun! 

Me gusta darles ese tono interactivo a mis proyectos, por eso entre las divisiones inserté páginas de diferentes tamaños. En adición, seguí jugando con los archivos de corte de Simple Stories de la Silhoutte y en conjunto con las hojas de tóner y las hojas de transferencia de Deco Foil pude darles ese toque de color y brillo a las páginas. ¡Definitivamente me encantan! ¡Trabajar con ellos es super divertido!

On these pages, I used the 3 x 4 and 4 x 6 journaling cards from the Journaling Card Elements Paper. I had fun layering the Sn@p pages with the die cuts stickers and the Simple Stories Silhouette's cut files. The combination of all these beautiful products is fantastic! 

En estas páginas utilicé las tarjetas para journal 3 x 4 y 4 x 6 del papel Journaling Card Elements. Resaltando los colores de las páginas del Sn@p con los die cuts stickers y los archivos de corte de Simple Stories de la Silhoutte. ¡La combinación de todos estos hermosos productos es fantástica!

Hello friends! It’s Dorymar back on the blog today with a fun project!  I am very happy that one of my favorite seasons of the year has arrived, Summer! Summer for me is a time for sharing and enjoying my family to the maximum, no school, no homework, my girls are home…time to enjoy the outdoors! I am from Puerto Rico so for me, there is nothing more fun than enjoying warm temperatures, the beach, the sand, the sun, refreshing drinks, etc. So, when I saw the beautiful, bright, and fun Summer Days collection I wanted to create something that reminded me of those elements that I love so much.  These amazing memories took me to the Summer of 2016, when my family had the opportunity to visit Kona, Hawaii!  What a wonderful trip! I decided to create an altered project: a super cute beach bar, those we find at the sea shore -  and inside a beautiful hexagonal flip book mini album. 

 

¡Saludos a todos! ¡Por aquí Dorymar de nuevo en el blog con un proyecto muy divertido!  Muy feliz y contenta de que ya llegó una de mis estaciones favoritas del año, el verano. El verano para mi es ese momento de compartir y disfrutar con mi familia al máximo, no clases, no tareas, las chicas en casa, en fin, momento de gozar.  Como soy de Puerto Rico para mí no hay nada más divertido que disfrutar esas temperaturas cálidas, la playa, la arena, el sol, bebidas refrescantes, etc. y es por todo eso que cuando vi la colección de “Summer Days” quise crear algo que me recordara esos elementos que tanto amo de esta época y por supuesto lo que para mí fue el verano del 2016.  ¡El pasado 2016 tuve la oportunidad de visitar Kona, Hawaii!  ¡Un viaje maravilloso! Pues decidí crear un proyecto alterado de una barra de esas que encontramos a la orilla de mar y en el interior de ésta un mini álbum en forma hexagonal estilo “flip book”.   

 

 

As a base, I used a hexagonal box that I got in a dollar store with a diameter of about 6 ". Then in the center I drew a circle that allows me to detach the lid easily, besides simulating the center of the bar. On it I made a 5 inches tall wall with cardstock that I supported with two paper straws. After this, I covered the entire exterior of the project with the brilliant papers from the Summer Days collection. 

 

Como base utilicé una caja hexagonal que conseguí en una tienda de dólar con un diámetro de 6” aproximadamente.  Luego en el centro tracé un circulo que me permite desprender la tapa con facilidad, además de simular el centro de la barra.  Sobre ella hice con “cardstock” una pared de 5” de alto la que apoyé con dos sorbetos de papel.  Luego de esto, forré todo el exterior del proyecto con los brillantes papeles de la colección Summer Days. 

 

To make the bar roof, I made a circle of 10 ½" in diameter and removed a small piece of its sides to form that pointed shape of the ceiling.  With two "Lazy Days" papers I covered this piece, cutting ¼ x 6 stripes. As you can see they are not evenly glued to make it look more real. Then with the beautiful elements of the collection I decorated the whole ceiling. 

 

Para hacer el techo, hice un circulo de 10 ½” de diámetro y eliminé un pequeño pedazo de sus lados para formar esa forma puntiaguda del techo.  Con dos papeles “Lazy Days” forré esta pieza cortando franjas de ¼ x 6.  Como pueden observar no están pegadas de forma uniforme para que se vea más real. Luego con los bellos elementos de la colección decoré todo el techo. 

 

 

For the mini, I used the bottom of the box as a measure.  It is a hexagon of 5 3/8 diameter that I traced in two pieces of "chipboard" to give it firmness. On the cover, I used the collection’s "Chipboard Stickers", "Decorative Brads" and "Bits and Pieces", to add bright colors and highlight the the summer theme. To give it a personal touch, I used liquid pearl, leaves, and flowers in combination with the papers. 

 

Para el mini utilice como medida el fondo de la caja.  Es un hexágono de 5 3/8 de diámetro que tracé en dos piezas de “chipboard” para darle firmeza.  En la portada utilicé “chipboard stickers”, “decorative brads” y “bits and pieces” todos llenos de brillantes colores y muy a todo con el verano. Para darle un toque personal, utilicé “liquid pearl”, hojas y flores en combinación con los papeles.   

 

 

The inside of the mini album is super fun because each page houses an element to search inside it. In the first pages, you can see a pocket where you have space to add journaling. When you open it, you can see that fun way of flip book where you can open one side and another. All has been decorated with the collection’s "Bits and Pieces", "Decorative Brads", "Chipboard Stickers" and "Enamel Dots". For the journal, I used 2 of the 3 x 4 cards of the "Journaling Cards Elements" paper. 

 

El interior del mini álbum es super divertido porque cada página alberga un elemento para buscar dentro de él.  En estas primeras páginas puedes observar un bolsillo donde tienes espacio para guardar tu journal, al abrirla puedes observar esa forma divertida de “flip book” donde puedes abrir hacia un lado y hacia otro.  Todo decorado con los “bits and pieces”, “decorative brads”, “chipboard stickers” y “enamel dots”.  Para el journal utilice 2 de las tarjetas 3 x 4 del papel “Journaling Cards Elements”. 

 

 

 

I love to use the paper to the maximum, that is why I always do banners or elements with scissors to add dimension to the pages. On this page, I used the scissors to make fringes to give this fun touch. On the next page, you can see how with one of the 4 x 4 cards of the 4 x 4 Elements paper I made a flap that opens and inside you have space for two photos. On each page, you can see how all the beautiful elements of the collection enhance the design of the project. 

 

Me encanta utilizar el papel al máximo, es por eso que siempre hago banderines o efectos con la tijera para añadir dimensiones a las páginas.  En esta página utilicé la tijera para hacer flecos para darle este toque divertido.  En la página que le sigue puedes observar como con una de las tarjetas 4 x 4 del papel “Elements” hice un flap que abre hacia arriba y en su interior tienes espacio para dos fotos.  En cada página puedes observar como todos los bellos elementos de la colección realzan el diseño del proyecto. 

 

 

 

I continued with the flip book design pattern but in this case, I made a small waterfall to place 2 ½ x 2 ½ photos where you can place 6 photos. Inside I used a 3 x 4 card and with the Good Vibes Washi Tape, I made a pocket that holds two cards to use as space for journaling.  In the center, I made another pocket with more space for photos and journaling 

 

Sigo con el patrón de diseño de flip book pero en este caso hice una pequeña cascada para colocar fotos de 2 ½ x 2 ½ donde puedes colocar 6 fotos.  En el interior utilicé una tarjeta 3 x 4 y con el “Good Vibes Washi Tape” hice un bolsillo que alberga dos tarjetas para utilizarlas como espacio para el journal y en el centro hice otro bolsillo con más espacio para fotos y journal.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

As you move the pages you still find hidden spaces that, when you open them you find a lot of space for photos and journaling. I made a side pocket with a 6 x 4 card from the Horizontal Elements paper.  Also, I made an insert that when you open it, you find a photo and journaling. At the bottom, you can see a flap made with a 3 x 4 card and inside more photos. With the elements of the collection and part of the designs of the cards, I decorated all around. 

 

Según vas moviendo las paginas sigues encontrando espacios ocultos que al abrirlos encuentras mucho, espacio para fotos y journal.  Hice un bolsillo lateral con y con una tarjeta 6 x 4 del papel “Horizontal Elements” hice un “insert” que al abrirlo encuentras foto y journal. En la parte inferior puedes observar un “flap” hecho con una tarjeta 3 x 4 y en su interior más fotos.  Con los elementos de la colección y parte de los diseños de las tarjetas adorne todo su alrededor. 

 

 

 

The more pages you go through, the more fun you have with the colors, the elements, and the details of the project. What is so amazing about the Summer Days collection is that you have many elements in the bits and pieces, the stickers, and the chipboard but also the elements of the cards and the papers.  You can use them to decorate the project as you can see in the following pages. 

 

Mientras más páginas pasas, más te diviertes con los colores, los elementos y cada uno de los detalles del proyecto.  Lo divertido de la colección “Summer Days” es que tienes muchos elementos en los “bits and pieces”, los “stickers” y los “chipboard” pero también los elementos de las tarjetas y los papeles puedes utilizarlos para decorar el proyecto como puedes observar en las páginas siguientes.

Hello everyone!  It’s Dorymar Perez here!  I hope you had an amazing National Scrapbook Day and a spectacular Mother’s Day weekend!  I want to share with you a beautiful mini album I created using the gorgeous DOMESTIC BLISS collection.  When I saw this collection, I fell in love instantly with the colors, designs, but most of all, the theme: Home!  I wanted to design an album to document the everyday chores to do at home.  In my case, a from everything I do daily – I take care of my brother, my mom, two beautiful daughters, a loving husband, pets and a big house - LAUNDRY is a HUGE task!  OMG, it never ends!

¡Saludos chicas! ¡Por aquí Dorymar Perez! ¡Espero que hayan disfrutado al máximo el Día Nacional del Scrapbook y un fin de semana de madres espectacular!  Quiero compartir con ustedes un hermoso mini álbum con la colección DOMESTIC BLISS.  Cuando vi la colección quedé enamorada al instante con los colores, los diseños y más aún con el tema: CASA.  Quería diseñar un álbum que documente las tareas del día a día en la casa.  En mi caso algo que hago todos los días – es cuidar a mi hermano, mi mamá, mis dos hermosas chicas, mi amado esposo, mis mascotas y mi casa, pero entre las muchas tareas que realizo en el hogar la que para mí es una tarea enorme es el LAUNDRY. ¡OMG nunca termina!

I decided to use the collection to create a box that simulates a washing machine and inside it housed a beautiful mini album with lots of space for photos!  We typically take pictures of special moments, but not photos of the tasks we do as part of daily routine.  My album does not have the photos yet, but each page is designed with a specific photo in mind.

Decidí utilizar la colección para crear una caja que simule una lavadora y en su interior albergue un hermoso mini álbum con mucho espacio para fotos. Por lo general, uno acostumbra tomar fotos de esos momentos especiales, pero no de los momentos arduo trabajo o de la rutina diaria. Mi álbum aún no tiene las fotos, pero cada página está diseñada para la foto que voy a colocar. 

The box measures 6.6” high x 6” long x 5” wide.  I bought some magnetic cans in a dollar store and used its lid and a bubble ornament to form what simulates the door of the washing machine. After cutting the chipboards to the measures indicated above, in one of them, I drew the ornament and made a hole to cover one of its sides later with a transparency.   Then, when placing the ornament, it can be filled with sequins in combination with the bright colors of the collection. I decorated its exterior with flowers hand-cut from the paper, die cuts from Bits and Pieces, Domestic Bliss Decorative Brads, and Enamel Dots from the collection.

La medida de la caja es 6.6 alto x 6 de largo x 5 ancho. Compré en una tienda de dólar unas latas magnéticas y utilicé su tapa y un ornamento de burbuja para formar lo que simula la puerta de la lavadora.  Luego de cortar los “chipboards” a las medidas ofrecidas anteriormente, en uno de ellos tracé el ornamento e hice un agujero para luego con una transparencia cubrir uno de sus lados para que al momento de colocar el ornamento pueda rellenarlo con lentejuelas en combinación con los brillantes colores de la colección.   Decoré su exterior con flores cortadas del papel, “die cuts” de los BITS AND PIECES, Domestic Bliss Decorative Brads y “Enamel Dots de la colección”. 

The mini album measures 6” high, 5” long and 2.5” wide.  It has five pages with pockets and flaps. For the cover, I used a 3 x 4 card, chipboard stickers and enamel dots.  I selected all the elements following the theme of my project.

El mini álbum tiene una medida de 6 alto, 5 de largo y 2.5 de ancho.  El mismo cuenta con cinco páginas con bolsillos y “flaps”. Para su portada utilicé una tarjeta 3 x 4, chipboard stickers y enamel dots.  Fui seleccionando todos los elementos acordes con el tema del proyecto.

You can see that the interior of the cover simulated a room with die cuts and the frame of a 4x4 card. On the first page, I did a flap that opens and used a 4x6 card that is accentuated with die cuts and enamel dots.

En estas páginas quise enfocar lo que es el tema de la colección y el tema que seleccioné, puedes observar que el interior de la portada simulé una sala con piezas de “die cuts” y el marco de una tarjeta 4 x 4. En la primera página hice un “flap” que abre hacia arriba y utilicé una tarjeta 4 x 6 la cual acentúe con “die cuts y enamel dots”.

Here you can see in detail the inside of the flap of the first page. In it, I used brads, chipboard stickers, die cut and stickers to decorate everything that surrounds the frame of the photo.

Aquí puedes observar en detalle el interior del flap de la primera página. En ella utilicé “brads, chipboard stickers, die cut y stickers” para decorar todo lo que rodea el marco de la foto. 

The second and third pages have two flaps that open to the sides.  There is plenty of space for photos and journaling, I continued to embellish all around with die cuts, stickers and washi tape, always focusing on the theme of the project.

La segunda y tercera página tienen dos “flaps” que abren hacia los lados, puedes observar que tienes mucho espacio para fotos y escribir el “journal”.  Sigo acentuando todo su alrededor con “die cuts, stickers y washi tape” enfocándome siempre en el tema del proyecto.

Next, look at pages 4 and 5. Both are filled with super fun elements from the collection. Page 5 has a flap with pocket that has space for journaling and inside it, you can place more photos.

A continuación, observas las páginas 4 y 5.  Ambas páginas están llenas de elementos super divertidos de la colección. La página 5 tiene un flap con bolsillo, en el bolsillo tiene espacio para colocar el “journal” y en el interior del mismo puedes seguir colocando fotos.

The next pages work the same way: flaps that open sideways and are embellished around them with the magnificent elements of the collection – Domestic Bliss Bits and Pieces, Enamel Dots, Chipboards, Combo Stickers and Bless This Mess and Home Sweet Home Washi Tape. All are beautiful!!!

Las páginas siguientes las trabaje de igual forma, “flaps” que abren hacia los lados y acentuado su alrededor con los magníficos elementos de la colección – Domestic Bliss Bits and Pieces, Enamel Dots, Chipboards, Combo Stickers and Bless This Mess and Home Sweet Home Washi Tape. ¡Todos son hermosos!

In all the pages of the mini album, you will find how the elements of the collection are located with the purpose of assigning a specific photo according to the phrases and the theme of the mini album.

En todas las páginas del mini álbum vas a encontrar como los elementos de la colección están ubicados con el propósito asignar una foto específica acorde con las frases y el tema del mini álbum.
