Woooohooo!! It’s my favourite time of year! I absolutely love everything about summer, I am certainly my happiest when the sun shines, and this Hello Summer collection by Simple Stories definitely captures all the aspects of Summer that make me smile!

There’s flamingos, cacti, flowers, fruit, sunglasses and super bright cheerful colours!!

I’ve stuffed my pockets full of papers from the collection, a few doilies, paperclips and made a ‘flamingo’ tag!

In the large side pocket I’ve popped a few papers to tie it all in and slid a flag paperclip which I made which holds them together.

For the dashboard I’ve used the rainbow stripe and then layered one of the 3x4 elements from the 12x12 cut apart sheets over some of the dotty paper and another doily, a flower & sunshine from the chipboard pieces and I’ve cut out a flamingo from one of the sheets from the 6x8 paper pad.

I used the 12x12 collection kit to make some dividers, which now with the divider templates and the CarpeDiem punch is so quick and easy. I then used the ‘Tabs Sticker Tablet’ and ‘Clear Tab Stickers’ ...perfect!!

I couldn’t help but play around with this gorgeous collection, you’ll see here I’ve decorated using an assortment of papers I’ve cut up to make a sunshine and of course I couldn’t resist adding another flamingo!!

I wanted to highlight the zipper pouches by CarpeDiem which fit inside A5 planners, I don’t think they get enough recognition! For me, they are utterly awesome!! Every planner I have, you’ll find includes one! That’s because they are perfect in so many ways, you can add receipts, bits & pieces (like I have here), stickers, journaling cards, photos...I could go on and on! Basically, if you haven’t got one...then you need one!...or two, three, or more!

I hope you’ve enjoyed another little look through my planner, which I forgot to mention is the new A5 Mint Blossom, using the fabulous Hello Summer collection. See you again next month, hopefully I’ll have something to show you which will be full of unicorns!! ;)

Hi there it’s Emma back with you, this month I wanted to share how I’ve used the ‘Oh Baby!’ collection by Simple Stories in my personal sized Blush Carpe Diem planner.

My aim was to show how the whole collection could be used without even the slightest nod to ‘baby’! You will find beautiful butterflies, fabulous florals, bewitching bows and heavenly hearts, and see how the colours are perfectly soft & delicate!

You’ll see how I have been able to fill my planner pockets with so many of the pretty elements and does it look like a ‘baby’ theme???...no, it sure doesn’t!

I have carried the soft, feminine feel onto the dashboard and through onto the divider set.

The divider set was so easy to make, I used papers from the 6x8 paper pad and the personal size divider templates, then dug in to the stash of gorgeousness to decorate.

On each of the dividers I have included a touch of the wood grain, this was to tie it all in and I think it helps give depth to the varying items I’ve used.

When a collection has so many wonderful products, it’s an absolute breeze to find all the details you want. There’s the snap pack, chipboard stickers, bits & pieces, washi, stickers, all perfect for adding decoration to your dividers!

So, I do hope I’ve been able to inspire you a little to perhaps look at collections differently, don’t just read the title, look closer and you’ll be amazed what you find! Hi there, it’s Emma back with a look at the Simple Stories Crafty Girl collection. There’s nothing I enjoy more than having a crafty afternoon, filling my desk with lots of goodies to play with, and when you have a stash of goodies called ‘Crafty Girl’  there’s no better excuse than that!

Just take a look at the bright cheerful colours that the Crafty Girl collection has to offer!! I dived straight in to make the dashboard by cutting out lots of the coloured pencils which were on one of the cut a parts on a 12x12 sheet from the collection kit. I had the idea of putting them in a jar which I drew and cut out, using foam back sticky pads it gave it a 3D effect.

I used some of the chipboard pieces and the large chipboard banner to also add some dimension.

I couldn’t stop there though, I’d got my crafty head on and decided to decorate the reverse side of the dashboard too! Here I cut out some of the colourful strips with words on and used them like bunting, I love how colourful it all is, it really makes me smile!

What a fun, cheerful front page it makes in my A5 Coral Carpediem planner!

You know how I love to fill my planner pockets, well, I didn’t hold back! I knew I just had to use the fabulous crafty girl faces in my pockets and I’m a sucker for flowers so they went in there too!!

Wow! The Crafty Girl collection is everything and more that a Crafty Girl could possibly ask for! Crafty Girls are happy girls, and this collection sure makes me happy!!
