Jana Eubank's Blog Posts

Hello, friends! Jana Eubank here. Summer is all about beating the heat with cool treats and the Hello Summer is the perfect way to record those fun moments with those sticky sweets. My family's favorite summer treat is Hawaiian shaved ice, and today's page features my family enjoying their favorite flavors after doing a little swimming.

I built three embellishment clusters on this page. To make the page cohesive, I made sure each cluster contained similar colors and elements. In this case, the common denominator in all three clusters are flowers and black and white phrases.

Across the bottom of both pages I used a wide strip of the Oh Happy Day paper with it's wave pattern. Instead of cutting the strips straight across with my paper trimmer, I used my scissors to follow along the wavy lines of the pattern.

I used several chipboard elements for my title and the decorations around my title. I used different thicknesses of foam squares to give these pieces different levels, making it more interesting to look at.

Have you scrapbooked your favorite sticky, summer treat?!

Hello, Simple Stories Friends! Jana Eubank here with a new scrapbook page using the Travel Notes collection. My kids are out of school and we are getting excited to head out on our summer family vacation. To get me in the mood to go, I have been scrapping past vacation photos. Today's layout features our summer family vacation from four years ago when we visited the wonderful city of San Francisco!

I had a blast creating a scene at the top of my layout using a cut out of the hot air balloon from the 6x8 Pad. I layered a few phrase stickers (Combo Stickers) below the banner phrase and the chipboard airplane above. The chipboard airplane gets the sparkly treatment with several gems from my stash. I also added some die cut clouds and a sun!

This little cluster on the left side of the page features several die cuts from the Bits & Pieces pack. That little postcard and compass are adorable!

I die cut another cloud for the bottom of the page from the light blue ledger paper in the 6x8 Pad to anchor a cluster of more stickers and die cuts. A stack of suitcases look so cute on this vacation page!

The large fussy-cut hot air balloon overlaps onto my page title in the center of the page. I placed the chipboard script "Explore" word on a strip of yellow cardstock with a dovetailed end. I then placed typed journaling below the title on the right side of the page.

I hope my layout has inspired you to get scrapping YOUR summer vacation memories with the Travel Notes collection! Have fun!

Hello, Simple Stories Fans! Jana Eubank here with a wedding layout using the beautiful and timeless Always & Forever collection.

My brother and his wife had the most beautiful wedding. Their color scheme was a unique combination of each of their favorite colors; orange and green. Their flowers were the most beautiful and different I had ever seen, with a fresh, citrus-y, summer vibe about them.

No matter what color scheme your wedding celebration is, your pictures will look gorgeous  scrapbooked with the Always & Forever collection. The neutral and timeless colors of this collection allow YOUR color scheme to stand out and be the star of the show, just like they are supposed to be!

I chose a favorite photo of the couple and gave it the special treatment, accentuating it with all kinds of papers and goodies layered around it. The photo block is anchored on the page by a vertical band of paper strips. The strand of lightbulbs across the top of the photo lets you know this is a very special occasion and it is time to celebrate!

Who can resist fussy-cutting out flowers for a wedding page? I sure can't! Flowers and weddings just go hand-in-hand!

I used the chipboard "Mr. and Mrs." stickers as the title for this page. A couple of friendly birds and a shiny gold heart give the title additional personality!

This photo was taken just moments after the ceremony, so of course I had to use the adorable "Just Married" sign sticker. I surrounded it with the wedding cake, gift box, hearts, and wedding ring for a bit of dimension and shine.

Weddings are the beginning of a couple's forever story, and scrapbooking their photos with the Always & Forever collection is the perfect way to treat them special!
