Jana Eubank's Blog Posts

Happy New Year, friends! Jana Eubank here with a wintry page using the adorable Sub Zero collection. I live in Utah and as you may or may not know, it is the home of the "greatest snow on earth" which means we have a lot of ski resorts nearby. My scrapbook page today features a photo of the first time my son learned how to snowboard.

I love the versatility of all of the icons in this collection and was tickled pink to discover the snowboarding bear and the ski lifts! I die cut a few snow-capped mountains for the background and then used black string to make the ski lifts appear as though they are taking you to the top for your next run!

The snowboarding bear is taking a break for some lunch and hot cocoa at the ski lodge at the bottom of the page.

Whether you have fun winter memories of skiing, snowboarding, sledding, playing in the snow, or just sipping a cup of hot cocoa the Sub Zero collection will make your project shine!

Supplies

Hello, friends! Jana Eubank here. Christmas can be a hectic time of year, but I always enjoy hunkering down in my craft room on a cold, snowy day for a bit of scrapbooking. Pulling out older holiday photos make me realize how quickly time passes by and to always savor each and every holiday spent with family and friends.

I began the page with the Season's Greetings paper from the Very Merry collection. I love the large floral in the corner! After placing my three photos in a triangle, the large floral perfectly fills the empty space and helps to frame the design.

I placed two strips of patterned paper on the right hand side of the page to anchor my photo grouping (Let It Snow striped paper and the green confetti dot of the 3x4 Journaling Cards paper). I used my sewing machine to zig-zag stitch in between the two paper strips and then added some chipboard snowflakes and phrase stickers at the top for decoration.

I could not resist adding that darling red truck to this page. It's almost as if the truck is delivery the presents that my family members are opening in the photo above! Ha! A fussy-cut floral piece from the Peace On Earth paper peeks out from behind the photo to finish things off.

I cut another larger flower cluster from the Peace On Earth paper to accent the bottom of my main photo and fill the space above my sticker title.

Finally, I added journaling to the left side of the page. Now this layout is ready to be put in our Family Album! I can't wait to get together with family again this year. Christmas is such a beautiful time of year!

See you again soon!

It's the beginning of December and the holiday spirit is in full swing at my house! Hello, Simple Stories Friends! Jana Eubank here. The minute Thanksgiving is over the Christmas music is a constant at our home and puts me right in the mood to do some Christmas scrapbooking!

Most of my pictures from the holidays are a beautiful, chaotic mix of people, things, and colors. The Very Merry collection brings everything together with its classic red and green color scheme.

For this page, I placed three photos on a patterned paper axis running through the center of the page and then filled in the empty spots with a title, journaling and holiday elements.

I used the Combo Stickers for the title area of this page. I love how the black script of the title POPS against my mini forest of pine tree stickers.

My main photo had an empty spot in the lower left corner, so I fussy-cut the large floral cluster from the Peace On Earth Paper to fill the spot.

Another fussy-cut, floral cluster anchors the presents, and phrases in the bottom right hand corner of the layout.

I capped the page off with a strip of plaid Christmas Cheer paper and the scalloped border sticker from the Combo Sticker sheet. Reminiscing about Christmas' past gets me excited to gather together again with family this year!

Thanks for coming by!
