Jana Eubank's Blog Posts

Hello, Simple Stories Fans! It's Jana Eubank back to share a scrapbook page using my favorite Forever Fall Collection

I love the name of this collection, because if there is one season I would want to last forever, it would definitely be Fall! I love everything about it, the rich colors, the coziness, everything! I wanted to embody that feeling on this next page about my daughter.

First of all, the Be Grateful paper with it's denim pattern ... SWOON! I could use this paper for every layout this season! I cut out the heart from the 4x4 Elements paper and paired it with the chipboard fox to use as a large accent next to my die cut title.

Next, I wanted to do something special around this cute photo of my daughter. I used an electronic die cutting machine to cut out several large leaves and then backed them with the Gather Together, Changing Leaves, and Pumpkin Everything papers.

I then used my sewing machine to stitch around the outer edges and veins of the leaves, giving them lots of cozy texture!

Finally, I fussy-cut the large floral element from the 4x6 Horizontal Elements paper and gathered several other floral die cuts and stickers to tuck in among the leaves. The result is a fun way to show off a favorite photo!

Happy Fall!

Halloween holds so many wonderful memories for me. It's a holiday that I am sentimental about, so it probably doesn't come as a surprise that it is one of my favorites to scrapbook! Hi, Everyone! It's Jana Eubank. I'm here to share a new Halloween page with you using the Simple Vintage Halloween collection.

I love the layered look of the stickers and other elements in this collection. It was an easy choice to add this banner sticker to the top of my layout.

One of the 4x6 Vertical Elements cards had a layered look to it. I cut around it and added it behind my main photo, with a few more stickers and Bits & Pieces. I LOVE the die cut of the safety pin holding the back tag. It looks so cute overlapping the top left corner.

I used another sticker with a layered look at the bottom of my photos. I tucked a black die cut ticket behind it and then added a couple of chipboard elements on the right, overlapping the adjoining photo.

I wanted the layered pieces to be the star of this page and opted to build my design on a simple Hickory/Cream Grid Snap Basics paper background. Along the left side of the page, I added a splash of color with two strips of patterned paper, sliced at an angle and zig-zag stitched for interest.

The orange glow from pumpkins on porches, stars twinkling in the night sky, and children exclaiming "Trick or Treat!" are just a few of my favorite things about Halloween! Hello, everyone! Jana Eubank here with a scrapbook page featuring the Happy Halloween collection.

I love when the 3x4 & 4x6 Elements papers include large words that I can cut out and use as titles on my scrapbook pages. This word adds so much fun color to the top of my layout!

I took the opportunity to decorate the using the 6x12 Sticker Sheet. For some added texture, I cut a long length of thin, white twine to use as a spiderweb trailing behind the spider sticker, wrapping it around several of the letters.

The banner sticker helps you to know that my girls are headed off to a party and it also anchors the witch sticker at the bottom of the main photo.

Finally, I added some sprinkles of white mist to mimic the look of a night sky.

How about you? Do you plan on attending a Halloween party this year?
