Jana Eubank's Blog Posts

Hello, Simple Stories Fans! It's Jana Eubank. Today I have a layout to share with you using the happy and cheerful So Happy Together collection.

For the title of this page, I fussy-cut the globe with the quote "Life is about the Journey" from the 6x8 paper pad and added it to the left of my photos.

I like this quote because my daughter had never taken a dance or tumbling class in her life, yet she was determined to try out for the cheerleading team at her school. I tried to prep her for the disappointment that would inevitably come, but to everyone's surprise her hard work paired with her incredible team spirit and sparkling personality earned her a spot on the team! It was quite the journey with a happy ending. I was so proud of her for persevering and going for her dream.

I used the "Hello Love" woodgrain paper as the background for this page and added a scalloped border piece across the top cut from the "Our Story" paper.

I added the photos to several different layers of patterned paper and then added several Journal Bits & pieces to the top to write the story about the day she received her uniform for the first time. I also used the 4x6 Clear Stamps to add a sentiment to the upper right corner of the journal blocks.

I used the 4x6 Clear Stamps again to stamp the phrase "life is beautiful" across the bottom of the globe.

I layered together several flowers, hearts, and the word "HAPPY" from the Bits & Pieces in the lower right corner of the photos. I also fussy-cut the wreath from the 4x4 Elements paper and tucked it behind the right edge of the photos.

I love that scrapbooking gives me the opportunity to celebrate all of life's challenges, victories, and lessons. This page about my daughter achieving her goal will always serve as a reminder to *ME* to work hard for my dreams and goals, too, even when it seems impossible. I will always learn something along the way. Like the title for this page says, life is about the journey!

Hello, there! It's Jana Eubank. Thanks for coming by the Simple Stories blog today! Christmas lights always put me in the holiday spirit, and so I decided to make them the highlight of my Holly Jolly layout today using the Enamel Dots.

I fussy-cut the large tree from a sheet from the 6x8 paper pad. I added the cookie star sticker to the top of the tree, tucked in the Santa from the Bits & Pieces to the left, and then added medium enamel dots on top of each of the color-coordinating christmas lights. I love all of the dimension the enamel dots add!

I used the "Holly Jolly" phrase from the Bits & Pieces as the title for my layout. There was an empty space in the top left corner of the photo, so I filled it in by overlapping the title right on top. To the right of the title, I tucked in a deer, gingerbread man, and candy cane from the Bits & Pieces. I also added a journal block from the Journal Bits & Pieces pack.

The colorful houses in the Holly Jolly collection make me so happy! I added the pink one to the right of the group photo along with a quote strip from the Journal Bits & Pieces pack and a quote sticker from the Combo Sticker Sheet.

And then I added the green holiday house in an embellishment cluster at the bottom of the page.

This collection is so CUTE and makes me excited to use it to scrapbook more of our holiday photos this year!

Hot cocoa, holiday movies, and time with family ... the holidays are just around the corner and I can't wait! Hi, everyone! It's Jana Eubank. The Country Christmas collection has a classic holiday vibe that makes me want to snuggle up in a blanket next to the fireplace and watch the snow gently fall outside the window. It also puts me in the mood to do a little Christmas scrapbooking!

I pulled out a Christmas Eve photo of my kids next to the tree and created this next layout. I layered up several sheets from the 6x8 Paper Pad to create a textured mat for the photo. I even fussy-cut the large wreath from one of the papers to tuck behind the left side. Along the bottom of the photo, I added stickers from the Combo Sticker Sheet and the Banner Sticker Sheet.

For the background I layered up even more patterns ... Can you tell I love patterned paper? Ha! I used the Cardinal Simple Basics paper as the base, and then added the 2x2 Elements Paper (green pine trees) matted with the plaid side of the Christmas Magic paper.

I always create several 12x12 layouts for our family album, but my favorite holiday project to work on each year is my December Album. I typically put the album together after the holidays are over, keeping track of our activities throughout the month to go with the pictures I've snapped. This year, I'm going to try a new approach! I created my album ahead of time with the Country Christmas SN@P! Cards, Bits & Pieces, Floral Bits & Pieces, Chipboard Stickers, and the 6x8 Paper Pad. I then placed white cardstock in the spaces where I plan to add photos.

I have a photo printer at home and so this project should come together fairly easy, even if I only have time to work on it once a week throughout the holiday season. I'm excited to give this approach a try!

Of course I am using the coordinating Country Christmas 6x8 Holilday SN@P! Binder for this project! If I happen to need more space for a particular event, I can always add more pages, or move things around with the simple-to-use D-ring. I LOVE these albums so much!

I hope you have found some inspiration to get you excited for your holiday projects this year! The Country Christmas collection has everything you need to make your Christmas crafting beautiful AND fun!
