Hello Friends and Happy New Year!

I am going to be honest I can't wait for 2016 to be over so I can turn the page to 2017. I always love the start of a new year since It seems to be time for a new outlook, new resolutions, new ideas, and really a fresh start.

I created a layout and 2 cards for you today using the Happy New Year Simple Set. This collection has all the bright colors with a bit of black to showcase those festive pics. I really love a pop of black on my pages and this collection was soooo easy to use.

My first layout is called "Countdown"

I've had this picture of myself and my friends for the past year or so, it was suppose to be a serious rock star pic but ending up being me looking angry, Tanya looking like she wants to punch someone and Stephanie's happy go lucky LOL!!! Love those girls. It was the perfect picture full of " Happy New Year " colors. I couldn't resist.

I created this layout with a pattern paper foundation instead of cardstock. I really liked the numbers on the left hand side to be my countdown to the new year. I wanted lots of color under my picture so I created layers with die cuts stickers and also cut up pieces from the 3x4" journal cards.

The Simple Sets have great stickers and being a die cut addict I sometimes need more. I chose to use the 3x4 and 4x6 cards exactly for more " die cuts". I cut up a few cards for more patterned papers, and I used a circle punch for the " Count Down " title. It's so easy to add more details by just cutting up some patterned papers. This collection has 2 sheets of each patterned paper, perfect to cut up! Don't be afraid! Instead of hoarding some papers for something else in the future, use what you have on a current page. Cut up shapes, small strips of papers, and even extra " party hats! " to make that special page.

Have Fun with it ;)

I decide to create a few cards to show you how versatile this simple set is.  The first card I create is called "POP FIZZ CLINK" - a little champagne?  I added a sticker and some dimensional adhesive to create this card. Adding a mini clothespin to that little sticker tag was necessary ;)

The second card is Par-tay!

Send out an invite for a countdown party! Your guests will love the personal touch and think you are super creative! I took a 4x5 piece of paper and cut it diagonally to add stars at the top and and a black bottom. I added some dots under my die cut gave it dimension and then a few stars and enamel dots -- voila!

Hello Friends, It’s Kristine Davidson with you today and I am going to share 2 layouts with you using the colorful collection called Mistletoe Kisses. I love the vibrant colors in this collection mixed in with blue and pink. It has a bit of a Christmas Theme but you can also use this as a great winter collection. The two layouts I created have a “let it snow” feel to them. I used some snowmen, a few decorated Christmas trees, and hearts focusing on the love for snow!

The first layout I'll be sharing is called "OH What Fun!"

I have had these photos for quite some time and when Mistletoe Kisses came out I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for. These pictures of my niece enjoying the fresh snow fall and sliding.

I created this sketch based on the layout -

I selected the blues, and whites as a major focus but added some green to give the page a contrast in color. I love that the green is used as a “pop” up color instead of the main focus.  Of course adding layers, and dimension adhesive is a must for me. I do enjoy the different colors. I added the CHEER alpha stickers but didn’t make that my title. I selected – the small sticker strip with OH What Fun my title. It seemed appropriate.

My Second layout for you today is called "Let It Snow"

This page was of my niece during a photo session. It was a beautiful winter’s day and a warm sweater with a comfy scarf was all that was needed. I added a cut file background to my page but after finishing I should have done something with snowflakes.

I added the chipboard snowman and some trees on this page with more snowflakes. The colors in this collection are fabulous aren’t they? I love how you can really create your own “theme” – such as winter.

The package of Bits & Pieces die cuts from this collection are A-dorable!

You can easily create a few layouts and have left overs for a few cards or adding some cuteness in your carpe diem planners!

Hello Friends, It’s Kristine Davidson with you today and I am going to share 2 layouts using the Reset Girl Collection. The colors in this kit are so versatile that they can be used for any season. I was drawn for my 2 pages and loved adding some extra colors with it.

The first layout I'll be sharing is called "Reset"

If you take a look at this layout – it is filled with layers and so many diecuts. I seriously could not stop myself from adding and adding and adding and … you get the point. I love how all the colors blend so well together and create a busy focal point but not to the extreme of getting lost.

I created a title using my silhouette cameo and added a small diecut on the bottom right to create a bit of a “subtitle”.

My Second layout for you today is called "Girl, You are Amazing"

I created this layout based on a sketch from Creative Scrappers. It is also one of my favorite go to patterns. I love creating each little square, adding photos where I’d like to have them and of course adding little details to finish up my page.

The chipboard pieces and diecuts from this collection can be used for so many themes. If you purchased the diecuts you can use them in your planners or yours pagesJ
