Hi beautiful Simple Stories friends, Cristina here with you today to show you a new project I made with a brand new collection Birthday Blast.

This collection is so perfect for parties, birthdays or any kind of celebration. It is full of warm and bright colors and so many amazing designs. Like all Simple Stories collections this one is also full of wonderful decorations to enrich pages, mini albums, cards or even use to creat your own decorations.

I started with a color vibe brights textured cardstock in a yellow color because it is so bright and it makes the collection colors just shine!!!! I chose to use yellow and red to take the colors of my photo and to add a touch of light I chose some decorative elements with silver details.

In the Birthday Blast collection kit I chose a patterned paper with delicious polka dots of various colors and layered it on the top of the torn bottom sheet to give it a little bit of movement. The result gave me the impression that the paper seemed framed.

This collection was perfect to show off this memory of delicious pizza made by me a few weeks ago. Surely because I was finally able to make it really good!!!

Decorating is the best part of making my pages. I love to use chipboard elements and combined them with die-cuts to create various decorative layers. The brads are my final touch to create a kind of symmetric sense to the whole composition.

Thank you for visiting and allowing me to share my project! I hope that it has inspired you to create your own bright and colorful celebration! Please don’t forget to leave us a comment below and tell us or show us you own idea on how to use this collection, It may be so different than mine. See you next time!

Bye.

Hi beautiful Simple Stories friends, Cristina here with a new project I made with a brand new collection I love the most, I Am. I am totally in love with this collection and especially for this new edition full of my favorite colors but also with unusual combinations but so well matched that it is impossible not to fall in love with.

I decided to use this wonderful collection to make a mini album, 4x6" size, because I would be able to use as much as possible all the decorative elements and embellishments of which this collection is full. I chose to make a mini album to send a gift to a dear friend who asked me to use her photos of her recent trip to the States and so I did.

I chose a very easy way to make my project, without a front cover and with a ring binder to support the pages.

I alternated the pages of patterned paper with page protectors of various sizes to adapt photos of different sizes.

To make my album more sturdy I made a back cover using a chipboard sheet that I covered with two patterned papers by the 6x8 “ pad which was perfectly suited for its vertical size.

I chose to sew some embellishments to give movement and added various elements as chipboard and brads wherever possible.

The designs are very original, versatile and perfectly chromatically balanced with each other.

I love to use so many layers and foam double tape to add 3d effects because I think this helps to focalize attention on the picture.

I’m a pink addicted and therefore if you are also you cannot fail to add this collection to your stash and we can’t wait to see how many beautiful projects you’re going to make with it.

So please don’t forget to leave us a comment below and tell us which is your own idea on how to use this collection, maybe so different than mine.

Thank you so much for joining me today and see you to the next post.

Bye.

Hi beautiful Simple Stories friends, Cristina here with a new project I made with a brand new collection Going Places. This is a wonderful collection totally focused on travel but It’s also so versatile that you can decide to use the beautiful papers full of amazing designs for any other themes you prefer. When I started leafing through the various sheets of patterned papers I was completely drawn to the colors and designs of this wonderful collection. A style so unique that Simple Stories are able to make it so attractive and suitable for any type of project.

I decided to use one of the patterned papers that most impressed me because I love diagonal striped patterns. To break the repetition of the stripes, I decided to insert a portion of white solid cardstock paper which I then decorated with one of the scalloped stickers.

To add some dimensional element I decided to stitch with my sewing machine using a light pink thread. Since the photo I had decided to use depicts a camera, I thought that the elements of the sheet of stickers included in the kit package were very suitable for the result I wanted to achieve. Having chosen a patterned paper with only one color I was able to have fun using all the beautiful elements of the sheet of stickers rich in warm colors. I cut out the tags from one of the other patterned paper that I used as a decorative element around the photo and that I can never do without in my projects.

In this collection there are so many fun and versatile designs that you can cut from the pages or add from the packs of stickers, die-cuts or chipboards and each one can give you different ideas to spread creativity everywhere! On this project I only used the collection kit which includes a 12x12 sheet of stickers and it gave me enough embellishments to complete my composition and embellish my page in so many different ways!

That’s it! I had so much fun making this page so I hope to have inspired you in some way. Thanks so much for joining me today and see you to the next post.
