Jennifer Haggerty's Blog Posts

Hello!  It's Jennifer on the blog today to share pages I created with the new Happy Haunting Simple Set! September is coming to a close and Halloween is right around the corner!  Happy Haunting is perfect for all of your spooky creations!   Truth be told, Halloween is my favorite holiday and I am in love with the colors of this collection!

My first layout, "Happy Halloween", I started with the wood grain print of All Hallow's Eve as my background.  I dabbed a bit of black and white ink to my paper using a hexagon stencil before embellishing.  I added strips of both sides of Trick or Treat to the top and bottom of my page; I think the plaid print is my favorite!

The set includes a double sided page of 3x4 and 4x6 Journaling Card Elements that are perfect for accented your photos or as a layer underneath your embellishments!  I love this adorable "SPOOK" bingo card!

At the top corner of my page, I added the spider web/spiders from the coordinating 6x12 Sticker Sheet!  There are many cute Halloween shapes as well as small sentiments, and squares.  I had some coordinating enamels dots as well as wood veneer stars in my stash to add to the web!

You can also create your own embellishments using a favorite paper punch or your die cut machine.  I created my tag using a hand punch and one of the 3x4 Journaling Cards! I then affixed some black/white ribbon with a staple!

For my next layout "Oct 31", I used black cardstock  and a cut file with my Silhouette to create a grid pattern. I then cut square patterns from the different sheets and stitched them onto my page.   I am loving the ombre effect of the B side of All Hallows Eve!

Did you know Simple Stories has a large variety of cut files available in the Silhouette shop here? I used the "Oct 31" file with white cardstock which I lightly misted with gold spray ink.  I then affixed it to one of of the squares.

Showing another one of my squares which I included more of the adorable stickers!  The stars are tiny but oh so cute!

I love the little ghost sticker...I paired him with the "Keep Calm and Boo" square sentiment sticker.  I used a couple pop dots under the ghost to give it some dimension.

Hello! It's Jennifer on the blog today and I'm very excited to share two layouts I created with the new Posh collection!  Oh my...the colors are GORGEOUS as well as the beautiful platinum foil accents!  Posh is one of my favorite collections of the new release and I couldn't wait to dig into it!  Simple Stories never ceases to amaze me with how each release is better and better!

For my first layout "Hazel Grace" I wanted to do a sort of grid style for my page. I thought the colors of Posh would be perfect to scrap photos of our new little girl kitten! I started with the lovely "Choose to Shine" paper with its pink background and gold foil dots.  I also added strips of "Simply Amazing" and "Live Simply" to my right edge.

I layered three different patterns to create a 4x4 square as well as stickers from the Combo Sticker sheet! I love the navy colored letter stickers!  I also incorporated some of the new Totally Chic Washi Tape as well as a lovely gold foil chipboard butterfly!

Another new addition to the collection are the Carpe Diem Posh roller stamps!  I will be honest, I am a big hoarder of roller stamps..so I was more than thrilled to see these in the new release!  I love adding stamped sentiments along with my journaling or under a photo!

For one of my squares, I used this LOVE gold foil card from the 3x4 Journaling Card Elements! I love the colors! And how cute is the geometric heart sticker (again with gold foil!)?!  I also accented with a tag from the Bits and Pieces pack, as well as a flower bouquet from the 6x12 Chipboard.  You can spy another piece of the washi tape, too!

For my second layout, Brace Face, I started with a background cut file from Just Nick Studios that I cut out of white card stock.  I then used different patterns from Posh to insert into petals of the flowers.  It's a great way to use a variety of papers without getting too overwhelming.

I love using the different sized journaling cards to place next to my photo! Here, I used a 3x4 sized card and added my title with the navy letter stickers from the Combo Sticker Sheet. I also layered many little die cuts from the Bits and Pieces pack as well as a cute pink/gold foil chipboard heart!

How beautiful are the Totally Chic Washi Tapes?   I added two strips to the side of my photo as they make a wonderful accent!  I tend to hoard washi tape too so again I was so excited to see this new addition!

I love creating little clusters of embellishments around my pictures! And with Simple Stories, there is so much to choose from!  I again used multiple die cuts from the Bits and Pieces as well as a cute sentiment sticker from the Combo Sticker Sheet.

Showing an up close shot of one of the flowers in which I used the B side of "Love Life".  I added one of the bright yellow Bradz from the Carpe Diem collection!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will go to the Simple Stories Products page and check this collection out in its entirety! I hope you are as excited as I am about Posh as well as the rest of the awesome collections! Have a great day!

Hello! It's Jennifer and I'm happy to share two layouts I created using the very fun and colorful Let's Party collection!  I love all of the prints of this collection because it goes with just about any theme!  Of course, its perfect for your birthday photos!

For my first layout, I wanted to scrap a special photo of my daughter on her 10th birthday (double digits!).  I placed a 11x11 sheet of white card stock over the green and white dot print of Yippee! I then cut different sized stars with my die cut machine using a few of my favorite prints!  I layered them diagonally across my page and stitched the edges of a few with my sewing machine.

I used this cute die cut sentiment from the Bits and Pieces for my title! I used a few pop dots to give it some dimension over the stars, as well!

I thought this Numbers background would be cute under my photo! You can find it in the Silhouette shop for Simple Stories here.  I used the teal color of the Make A Wish sheet which is great contrast with additional bright colors of the collection.

I layered a few of the die cuts from the Bits and Pieces over my stars, as well as added Bradz, Enamel Dots, and some wooden veneer stars from my stash.

Using a star as a template and embroidery thread, I stitched two stars into my background! I love how they turned out!

The Bits and Pieces pack has a few colorful journaling tags which are great for documenting about your photo!

I know I'm guilty of not doing enough pages that are solely about me!  For my second layout, "43", I scrapped about my last birthday! I love layering the different patterns and embellishments across my page!

I used one of the cards from the 3x4 Journaling Card Elements to document about my day! I added number letter stickers from the Expressions Cardstock Sticker  Sheet as well as added a cute chipboard candle. I also layered a colorful banner sticker underneath, as well as added more fun embellishments!

I am a huge fan of the Chipboard Frames and love incorporating them into my pages! I used one of the smaller yellow/white stripe frame along with die cuts from the Bits and Pieces and a cute banner Bradz.

How fun is this star banner die cut!?  You receive four in the Bits and Pieces pack; I thought one would look cute stapled above my journaling!

The Fundamental Cardstock Sticker Sheet has many fun birthday themed shapes to choose from including this cute "let's party" tag!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my pages and it inspires you to do some creating with Simple Stories! Have a great day!
