Jennifer Haggerty's Blog Posts

Hi everyone! It's Jennifer and I'm happy to share two layouts I created with the new Sunshine and Happiness collection!  We are just beginning our summer here in Central Illinois which means lots of outside activities and pool time!  My kiddos love the water so I have lots of photos of them enjoying the warm weather! Sunshine and Happiness is perfect for all of your summertime projects with its bright colors and coordinating embellishments!

For my first layout, "Hello Sunshine", I used many of the fun die cuts from the Bits and Pieces pack! I love all of the little flowers as well as summer theme sentiments such as my title! I started with white card stock and yellow spray ink and a chevron mask!.

I also included pieces from the 6x12 Chipboard sheet as well as Bradz and Enamel Dots.

For my second layout, "Oh Happy Day", I again started with white card stock as well as a circle cut file background. I used a circle hand punch to add different patterns to the center of each circle. I used foam tape to pop up a few smaller circle as well as add stickers and Bradz.

For my title, I used one of the many great Simple Story cut files from the Silhouette Shop! This one is one of my favorites and called appropriately "Oh Happy Day" (file #89426).  I used the beautiful and bright yellow from the Shine Bright pattern.

Again, I used lots of layers including this adorable mason jar and tag from the Bits and Pieces pack. I used some orange and white bakers twine from my stash as well as used some additional pieces from the Fundamentals Cardstock Sticker sheet.

Hello! Jennifer on the blog today to share a couple of layouts I created using the new Bloom and Grow collection!  Simple Stories has another hit with this beautiful line! The colors and patterns don't disappoint as well as the variety of embellishments!

Bloom and Grow is definitely geared towards spring but as you can see, you can use it for just about any theme! For my first layout, "Bloom", I scrapped one of my favorite photos of my daughter (who is growing up too fast for my liking!).  I started with the beautiful wood plank background of Dig It.   Using a floral cut file, I layered the Green Dot print and b-side of Let It Grow behind my photo. I then started adding many of the fun embellishments!

The Bits and Pieces ephemera comes with a large variety of shapes and words including this script I used for my title! I layered a 3x4 journaling element underneath as well as added a cute chipboard watering can from the 6x12 Chipboard Elements

The Bits and Pieces pack comes with many colorful flower die cuts that are perfect to accent your page! I added a few around my photo as well as added Bradz and Enamel Dots!

I even popped up some of the flower die cuts as well as added little sticker sentiments.  Also, you can spy a cut ledger paper print tag that I snuck under my photo! I added some pink and white bakers twine from my stash to finish the look!

I am a big fan of banners and love this layered banner sticker from the Fundamental Cardstock Sticker Sheet!  I added it under my photo and stitched through with my sewing machine.

For my second layout titled "Spring Concert" I used the ledger print of Bee Happy for my background. I love the grouping of flowers at the bottom corner!  I used both the Red Dot print and navy floral of Let It Grow under my photos.

The Expressions Cardstock Stickers come with four different alpha sets to choose from! I used the navy and green letters for my title!  Again, I layered both die cut and chipboard flowers from the collection around my title. I also love the little colored label stickers from the 4x6 Stickers.....they are perfect for a little journaling or to insert a date!

How adorable are the little gnomes in this collection?!  I couldn't resist adding one of the cute guys from one of the 4x6 Sticker Sheets! I used some pop dots under the sun die cut to give my page some dimension; I love the sentiment!

Showing more of the die cut flowers as well as one of the Bradz and circle journaling spot (included in the 4x6 Sticker Sheets).

I adhered a portion of one of the border stickers from the Fundamentals Cardstock Stickers sheet at the bottom left of my page to jot down some journaling.

Hello! It's Jennifer on the blog today and I'm so excited to share my layouts using the new Sunshine & Happiness collection!  I am so in love with the bright, fun colors of this line!   Since I'm ready for the warm sunny days of summer, both of my layouts are summer themed!  However, Sunshine & Happiness can be used for pretty much any project!

My first layout, "Sweet Summer Days", I captured my nephew having a cool summer treat!  (My sister graciously gives me photos of my niece and nephew to scrap since my kids are at that age where they dislike having their picture taken!)  I layered the bright orange, yellows, and blues of the collection under my photos.

One of the many things I appreciate about Simple Stories is that there are always a variety of embellishments to choose from!  How cute are the Bits and Pieces die cuts?  And of course, there are always coordinating Enamel Dots!  For my title, I used a combination of letter stickers from the Expressions Cardstock Stickers and the multi-colored chipboard "Summer" from the 6x12 Chipboard sheet.

I layered one of the Bits and Pieces cards with a label and sentiment sticker from the 4x6 Sticker Sheets.  To accent, I added my favorite embellishments: Bradz and Enamel Dots!

Layering smaller Bits and Pieces and stickers is one of my favorites ways to accent my page!  I love the bright sun from the Bits and Pieces, as well as the sentiment phrases!

For my second layout, "Hello Summer" I knew I wanted to use this favorite photo with this collection!  I layered the many patterns of Sunshine & Happiness as well as utilized one of the journaling cards from the 3x4 Journaling Card Elements.

My title is cut from the Lemon Stripe pattern and the Simple Stories "Hello Summer" cut file from the Silhouette online design store.  I also added stickers from the Expressions and Fundamentals Cardstock Sticker Sheets!

Again with more layering..... I love adding clusters of embellishments on a corner of my photo! I love the colorful bird from the 6x12 Chipboard Sheet, as well pieces of the border stickers from the Fundamentals Cardstock Stickers.  No layout is complete without a few Enamel Dots and Bradz!

I used a piece of a border sticker as you would washi tape on the bottom of my 3x4 Journaling Card and a Bradz to accent. I thought a little bit of stitching would complete the look; I love using my sewing machine on my pages!

I used another Simple Stories cut file, "Stars Card" with the Lime Stripe patterned paper and layered it under my journaling card. I also added a cute tab stickers from the Fundamental Cardstock Sticker sheet, as well as a circle/heart journaling spot from the 4x6 Stickers.
