Jennifer Haggerty's Blog Posts

Hello friends!  Jennifer on the blog today to share a layout I created with the new Lil Dude collection! Who doesn't appreciate a good boy line? Lil Dude knocks it out of the park with its bold, bright colors and prints! The coordinating embellishments have enough mix of "boy" to range from toddler to teen!  Photos of my son when he was 6 years old  playing with Hot Wheels were perfect to use with Lil Dude!

I  used my Silhouette to cut different sizes of circles from my favorite patterns to layer across my white cardstock background. I  then clustered my photos in the center of my page matting with cardstock to help them "pop" against the colors.

I  used a circle frame, again cut from my Silhouette, to position my title.  Using foam dots, I adhered the bright letter stickers from the Combo Sticker Sheet. I  then accented with additional stickers found on the same 12x12 Sheet.  I  am loving the new addition of the Puffy Stickers!  You can see the miniature stars as well as small arrow; you receive two sheets in each package!

I  love using the 3x4 Elements for my journaling especially since there is almost always a ledger/notebook print included!  I  accented with a cute star cardstock sticker as well as more Puffy Stickers!

The Bits and Pieces pack is always full of a large variety of shapes as well as journaling spots such as the one seen here. I  used a date stamp in my stash and added a bright blue chipboard star. You can also spy a mini circle sticker found on one of the 4x6 Sticker Sheets...and yes, more Puffy Stickers!

The B side of "Hear Me Roar" is probably one of my favorite prints of the collection!  I  am a huge fan of plaid and am loving the black and white. You can even note the hint of type as well!  For this circle, I  added a cute pennant from the Bits and Pieces as well as additional stars.

Hello! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a layout I created with the gorgeous Bloom collection! There is so much to love with this line; from the floral prints to the pastel colors contrasted with pops of black!  I  "stole" a photo from my daughter's Instagram that I  thought would be perfect to use with Bloom (even her dress matches the fun florals!). For my background, I cut the black dots from Everyday Counts and paired it with the tiny flowers of the B side of the 4x6 Elements.

I used the beautiful black floral chipboard "Bloom" letters from the 6x12 Chipboard Sheet.  It makes for a perfect title for my page plus it stands out agains the lighter background.

I  cut apart some of the 3x4 Elements to layer under my photo such as this blue ledger print. I  then use coordinating embellishments if I want to cover up what is printed on the card.  I  love to layer little floral clusters from the Bits and Pieces as well as add in popped up coordinating stickers.

How cute is this pink ledger 3x4 Element with a black dotted heart? I  knew wanted to have this accent my photo (I  love ledger print!). I  layered a floral tab fro the Combo Sticker Sheet underneath the edge as well as added a small chipboard flower.

One of my all time favorite embellishments are the 4x6 Sticker Sheets!  There are so many cute, small accent pieces you can find such as this typed sentiment sticker. Also, one of the sheets has decorative strips of patterned perfect to layer under cards or photos!

And what collection wouldn't be complete without a banner sticker? I  love to add these to the bottom or corner of my photos.  The "tassel" pennants are an adorable addition to the banner along with accent flowers!

Hello friends! Jennifer on the blog today to share a page I  created using the Hometown USA Simple Set!  The 4th of July is a big holiday for our family as we enjoy yearly traditions such as watching local fireworks and cooking out with neighbors!  Hometown USA includes classy prints with the patriotic red, white, and blue which was perfect for this favorite photo of my daughter enjoying a sparkler before fireworks!

I  wanted to incorporate stars for my background so I  utilized the "Star"  Cut File from Simple Stories (file #170092) found in the Silhouette shop. I  opened the replicate screen to duplicate the shape as well as alter size as I  see fit.  Once my background was cut, I  backed each open space with patterned paper from the collection.

Next, I  knew I  wanted to use some hand stitching as well as my usual sewing machine.  With a paper piercer and ruler, I  placed holes around my star. Then, using embroidery floss in dark blue, I  stitch around selected star shapes.

Here is the end result of the stitching!  Some of the stars I  decided to just punch holes at each point so there would be less stitching (which means smoother transitions). One my bottom star, I  used a pop dot to adhere the heart flag sticker to accent.

Simple Stories has a large selection of cut files to choose from including this "Sparkle" I used for my title (file #83862)! I  then accented with two of the cute sentiment stickers found on the Hometown USA 6x12 Sticker Sheet. Of course, I had to use the sparkler as well!

I'm so loving this banner!  I   adhered it with pop dots across my page to help break up the sections as well as to accent my journaling.
