Jennifer Haggerty's Blog Posts

Hello! It's Jennifer on the blog today! I'm so excited to share a page I  created with the new Spring Farmhouse collection! There is so much to love about this line from the floral prints to the fun embellishments! And it can be used for just about any theme project! Spring Farmhouse was perfect to scrap an older but favorite photo of my niece playing in my grandparents' garden.

I  began with trimming a piece of white cardstock to 11x11 inches. I  then adhered it to the beautiful floral of Live Simply and stitched around the edges to finish. For my title, I  used the "bloom" script from the Combo Sticker sheet which has numerous sentiments and beautiful florals to accent your project. You can also spy some of the pink gingham Washi Tape that is included in the collection! I  love adding small swatches to break up white space or accent my photos.

Using my electronic die cut machine with white cardstock, I  cut this floral wreath to adhere around my photo (Floral Wreath by Wild Pilot #275492) I  chose the green/white dot print of Plant Smiles and small floral of the Spring Farmhouse 2x2 Elements to back the intricate spaces of the flower. I  then added smaller embellishments from the 4x6 Sticker sheet and Bits and Pieces to accent.

The Spring Farmhouse Bow Clips are a wonderful addition to the embellishments! You receive four in a package so there are plenty left over for additional projects! I  chose the black gingham Bow Clip to accent the top corner of my photo

The Bits and Pieces pack always includes fun journaling spots such as the deco shape shown. I  then layered flowers from the Combo Sticker sheet as well as a fun black gingham chipboard heart!  You can also see that Enamel Dots have returned! I  love sprinkling them around my pages because they give dimension and color!

I  again used the pink gingham washi tape at the top of my page as well as added additional flowers around my wreath. I  love this little sentiment found in the Bits and Pieces; I  thought it would go perfect with my photo

Hello friends! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share a layout I  created using the very fun Freezin' Season collection! With the recent negative temperatures in the Midwest we've had a lot of freezing going on!  Before it got too cold, my kids indulged me in a little snowy photo shoot (I  may or may not have had to bribe them).

I  love all of the cut files  Simple Stories has to offer in the Silhouette shop! Using a white piece of cardstock, I  cut a 10.5x10.5 square of the Crosses Background. Before adhering it to the B side of Frosty Friends, I  used my circle punch on multiple patterns to back the negative spaces behind the crosses.

Once I  adhered my white cardstock down, I  stitched around the edges with my sewing machine. I  then added a strip of color at the bottom using the beautiful teal of Brrlow Zero and Snuggle Up.  It is here that I  affixed my title using the die cut words from the Bits and Pieces pack. You can also spy pieces of the coordinating Washi Tape as well as a cute typed sentiment sticker from the 4x6 Stickers.

For my journaling, I  cut apart two of the 3x4 Elements to layer next to my photo. I  love that there is always one that has a ledger or notebook print since its one of my favorites! I  then pulled in some accents from the 6x12 Chipboard as well as additional Bits and Pieces and stickers from the Combo Sticker sheet. I  am a fan of using dimension, so I  will usually affix two or more elements with pop dots.

Simple Stories' collections never fail on the variety or amount of embellishments to choose from when constructing your projects!  Even a simple sticker tab, such as the one shown, is a nice accent to give additional color and contrast to your page.

Here, at the top of my layout, I  used the same plaid print in the Washi tape along with two of the mini pennants from the 4x6 Stickers.  It's a good technique to break up white space as well as add color.

Hello! It's Jennifer on the blog today to share with you a layout I  created using the fun Kissing Booth collection! Of course this line is geared towards Valentines Day, however it really can be used for just about any theme! For example, this photo of my daughter was taken this past summer! It's such a "girly" picture and there are so many great patterns in Kissing Booth!

I almost always start with a plain background for my layouts so I  began with a piece of kraft cardstock. Then using the beautiful floral print of "Love & Adore", I  cut a heart die cut from my Silhouette (Flower Heart by Paige Evans #222462).  For my title, I  used the  script "love you" from the 6x12 Chipboard. I really love the black/white color combination against the bold reds and pinks!  I also added a floral cluster found on the Combo Sticker sheet which I  popped up with foam tape!

The Bits and Pieces pack never disappoints with cute journaling spots such as this fun heart shaped ledger print! The little flowers are a nice addition, too!  I  always love to add a couple sentiment stickers from the Combo Sticker sheet as well as one of the 4x6 Stickers!

Here, you can see I  added in additional patterns under some of the flowers by using my circle punch. I  then finished the look with a bit of stitching with my sewing machine.

Around the edges of my heart, I  added smaller embellishments such as this floral cluster from the 6x12 Chipboard. I  also tied in the plaid pattern of "Crazy In Love" with this sticker tab tucked underneath the top of my photo (I adhered strips of the same paper at the top and bottom of my layout as well as in the center of some of the flowers of my die cut).

The Kissing Booth collection also includes Puffy Stickers which make a fun accent! I  love the tiny ones that look like candy hearts!  I  added a few around my layout to add extra dimension along with some paint splatters.
