Traci Penrod's Blog Posts

I realize everyone is thinking about fall, and pumpkins, and Halloween these days ... and I'm not usually one of those people that starts planning for Christmas far in advance.  But when I received the Merry & Bright collection I fell in love with the colors and was eager to start a new project!

I've been wanting a Christmas album, with just a few photos from each year, to set out for the holidays. Since I have older photos, the creams in this collection really worked well.  This is my son, 27 years ago!

I used papers from the 6x8 paper pad for this album.  I love the interest and fun that pages like this Santa add to the album.

I also used a combination of divided photo sleeves and full 6x8 pages.  The full page design allows me to play with lots of fun papers and embellishments.

On the page above I used stickers, bits & pieces die cuts, and chipboard.

The binder album that is part of the Merry & Bright collection is great too!  It comes with add in pages that include the pocket above.  I decided to use the pocket to store a few Christmas cards, but extra photos, holiday recipes, letters to Santa, and gift lists would all be perfect in this pocket!
The outside of the album is really pretty by itself, but I added a green ribbon, a few chipboard pieces, and some gems to give it a little shine.

I have a long way to go to get my album ready for the holidays but this collection is so much fun to play with I'm looking forward to documenting all of the other years!   Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween?  Already?  How is that possible!  But it will be here before we know it and I had lots of fun getting this fun Snap album ready for our not-so-spooky holiday.
I love the colors and patterns in the Simple Vintage collection.  Fun plaids, stripes, and polka dots paired with lots of cute chipboard pumpkins made this album come together very quickly.
I also love how the papers and element cards have a distressed, vintage feel!
How cute is my little granddaughter?!  These photos are from last year, and now I will just continue the album with photos for each year going forward.

I also plan to make my album part of my Halloween decor, so that family and friends can flip through the cute pages each October.  I hope you love Simple Vintage Halloween as much as I do!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It's Traci, from Artsy Albums, and I'm excited to share my Sn@p album project using the beautiful Forever Fall collection.

The colors in this line are different than most fall collections.  A hint of pink and blue are combined with traditional fall colors of orange, brown, and cinnamon.  It's just beautiful!
The pictures of my son and his adorable family worked perfectly in this easy, pocket style album.
One of the 4x6 horizontal cards in the collection has a circle in the center.  I decided to highlight a sweet picture of my granddaughter by using a 3.5"circle punch.
I used several pieces of Forever Fall chipboard on the page above, and cut down the 4x6 vertical card to fit the 4x4 pocket.
I hope I've inspired you to give pocket style scrapbooking a try for fall using Simple Stories Sn@p albums and the beautiful Forever Fall collection!
