Traci Penrod's Blog Posts

Recent family photos have been sitting on my desk just begging to be added to an album, and when I saw Kissing Booth I didn't immediately think of these pictures. It's a beautiful Valentine collection, but my family photos were taken in the fall. Would it work? You bet! I'm thrilled with the way I was able to document family love and togetherness with these pretty papers!

I used a black 6x8 Sn@p album and incorporated black and white card stock in with the patterns. The die cuts are so pretty ... lots of flowers, hearts, and cute sayings that are perfect for Valentine's Day or general everyday family moments.

Even though I love the divided photo sleeves, I used more of the full 6x8 pages for this album. I enjoy creating full scrapbook pages, and with this size I don't have to commit to an entire 12x12 page.
In addition to bits & pieces die cuts, I also used chipboardpuffy stickers, and combo stickers throughout the album. And by the way, my granddaughter IS sweet, don't ya think :) ?
I confess that the Feb. 14 chipboard doesn't match up with the photo I tucked into the pocket, but I loved the piece on this page.  I'll add Valentine photos of this little sweetie when I have some in a few weeks.

Happy New Year (almost) everyone!  Today I wanted to share a super quick album that comes together easily and would be a wonderful gift for a New Year's party hostess, or your own celebration photos.

I just love the 4x6 snap albums for gifts!  They are easy to create, unique, and perfect for saving memories from a special occasion!
For this album, I used the Simple Stories 2019 collection.
A little bit of silver and black card stock work perfectly with the black & white scheme in the papers and stickers.
The 4x6 photo pockets make it simple for the gift recipient to add their own photos to the album after the party!
So there it is ... easy peasy!  Hopefully I've inspired you with another handmade gift idea.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!!

It doesn't stay cold in Georgia for very long, but given the weather here over the last few days,  it seems like we went from summer to winter and skipped fall all together!  So with chilly temperatures on my mind, I decided to create some pocket pages from recent years using Freezin Season.

I love the colors in this collection!!  That touch of pink with the aqua and teal work well with my photos even though those colors aren't in my pictures.
Since I have a lot of photos, I added a folded card (4"x8", scored at 4") and slipped it into one of the 4x4 plastic sleeves.  This gave me space for an extra photo and a fun 4x4 phrase card.

I used another folding card (6"x8", scored at 4") on the layout above. I adhered a 4x6 element card to the front, and a journaling card and photo inside.

Stickers from the 4x6 sticker pack were perfect for adding tabs, phrases, and snowflakes throughout the pages.
I also added in some journaling spots and cute die cuts from the Bits & Pieces package.

I hope I've inspired you to document your winter memories in a fun snap album.  I used the 6x8 Robin's Egg Stripe Designer binder since it coordinates beautifully with Freezin Season.  Have fun and stay warm!
