Anya Lunchenko's Blog Posts

Hello Simple Stories friends! Anya here today and I would like to share an explosion box with you that I created using the beautiful “Heart” collection. Even though the main theme for this line is about memories of people we lost, it doesn't mean we can't use it for other projects as well.

To create this box I used a scoring board and some white cardstock. My box measures 3” from all sides and the lid is 1” tall. In order for the lid to fit the box nicely, you need to make it about 1/16” larger then the size of the box. After creating the basic shape of the box, I like to cover all the panels with patterned paper, leaving a thin white border.

My favorite part is to decorate all the panels with little pieces and stickers. The sides don't have to be very similar in design - the basic idea here is to distribute the colors evenly among them. By adding some of the pieces to panels with pop dots, you will create dimension, which always makes this type of project more interesting.

Good morning everyone! Anya Lunchenko here today to share with you a set of cards I made with the “Little Princess” collection. This line is so adorable that I could keep going on and on with creating more cards!

I created my cards in sets of two. The first set uses pink polka dot paper and a navy blue color combination, which I absolutely adore! For one of these cards I fussy cut the oval shape from one of the cards and used it as a divider between two patterned papers, which created an interesting design. I decorated both cards with stickers and a lot of fussy cut flowers from one of the papers in the collection.

The second set of cards share the light blue/navy blue color combination. The starting point for both of these cards were 3x4” elements from the collection. I added a few coordinating pieces of paper for layers and emphasized the design on the element cards with stickers and more fussy cut flowers. I finished all the cards with a few Enamel Dots and a sprinkle of white Nuvo Drops.

Hello Simple Stories friends! Anya here today and I am happy to share a tiny mini book I created with the “Dad Life” collection. This mini book measures about 4.5x5” but has enough space for up to fifteen 3x4” photos and some space for journaling.

Each of the pages in this album are made like pockets with an opening at the top that can hold additional noted, letters, or journaling. I filled the pockets with tags at the moment, that can be used to write those special messages to dad.

I decorated each page spread with patterned paper, journaling cards and stickers, using pop dots for some of them for dimension.

This tiny little book can be used to hold some of your favorite moments about your father or it can be given as a little gift for someone else to fill it with their own memories: all they need to do is print some photos, adhere them to the photo spots and write a few notes!
