Hello Friends!

It's Kristine here today and I'm going to share my latest layout using the Freezin' Season Collection. I live on the east coast and right now it's WINTER! We have snowdays where we don't really go outside because it's a storm too cold. The day after a storm is usually so calm and beautiful and that's when everyone goes out to play!

To create my layout I first used a 2" metal die to cut out circles. I placed my circles on a piece of white cardstock about 11"x11" and then placed my cardstock on a piece of pattern paper. I did a bit of messy sewing on the egde of my cardstock and around 3 circles. This just added texture for me and a few subtle details.

I added little stickers, bits and pieces as well are chipboard pieces to decorate my page and of course used some dimensional adhesive on most of my elements. To create my title I used the Winter and Flurries stickers from the sticker sheet. Once my layout was finished I added journaling and some black ink splatters. I know that's probably out dated by I love it on my layouts.

As you can see this collection is super fun to create winter pages. Please tag us on social media @SimpleStories_ #SimpleStories to show us your latest Freezin Season layout!

Have a great day !

Hello Friends!

It's Kristine here today. I am sitting in my scrapbook room freezing! It's 18F with a winter storm warning for the east coast of Canada and I'm so not looking forward to winter. Wanna know what I like best about winter? Seeing someone playing in the snow!

This picture is of my cousin enjoying some time outside on a snow day! So much fun was had just jumping around, making snowmen, and throwing snow balls! I love watching kids enjoy the beauty of winter. I used the gorgeous winter collection called Freezin' Season. It is filled with beautiful colors such as blues and pinks that make white snow look so lovely!

I wanted to add some fun to my page so I used the chipboard with the Bits and Pieces diecuts. I rarely put pictures on my page sideways but I wanted to try something different. I added tons of layers with dimensional adhesive and lots of fun colors.

I did something different with my title on this page. I used the Let It Snow diecuts and placed them on a pink piece of paper. That gave my title some 3D effect. I really like  the look of it.

I placed some small stickers and enamel dots around my embellishments to add some " snowy " details.  Using the multi colors trees and houses on tis page really added some fun to a wintry page! Come Find Simple Stories on social media @SimpleStories_ and myself @KristineDavidson

Hello Friends!

It's Kristine with you today and I am sharing a layout using the Happy Halloween Collection. It is a Simple Set which means it contains 6 sheets of a paper and a 6x12 sticker sheet. These kits are perfect for layout classes and creating 2 page layouts as well!

I used this kit to create a page of my cousin's daughter dressed up for trick or treating a few years ago. I love the colors and patterns in this kit and they just work perfectly with my pic too! Halloween is such a fun time of year. I love scrapbooking fun faces and spooky places ;)

With this layout I wanted a fun title but not black or simple. I really liked the 4x6 element card and wanted to use the word "Halloween"for my page title.

I did some fussy cutting and added dimensional adhesive to the back of the letters and created a fun title. These are easy to do and with a little patience you can create your own! We have several possibilities with this sheet of paper with title that could include October 31 / Trick or Trick / Boo / and more! Here are a few more pictures of my layout.

Hopefully you'll find some inspiration on my layout and create your own fun title using our element cards!
